今天，我在草坪上看见一只肥美的老母鸡身后跟着一群毛绒绒的小鸡宝宝。有一只全身乌黑的小鸡可爱极了。还有几只黄色的小鸡在绿色的草地上刨刨土，捉捉虫，可好玩了。
鸡妈妈多么伟大啊！周围有一点动静，就警惕地抬起了头，四外张望，看是否有人来侵犯它的孩子。过了一会儿又恢复了平静。
找食的'时候，一只小鸡离群了，我赶紧把它隔开，鸡妈妈好像在说：“这调皮的小男孩敢欺负我的小宝贝，看我怎么收拾你。”小鸡好像在说：“妈妈，妈妈快来呀！”我说：“小鸡，你别想跑！”小鸡妈妈焦急不安，可是又没有办法救小鸡，只好呆在一旁。小鸡惊恐地望着我，似乎要大哭一场，它很害怕。
老母鸡忽然向它的孩子冲去，要保护小鸡。这时妈妈说：“声宇，小心鸡妈妈来啄你，我们要爱护小动物。”我吓得不敢干了。
离群的小鸡找到了妈妈高兴不已，又高兴地找食去了。
