那是发生在三年级的.事了。学校里举行演讲活动，演讲比赛的前一星期，我们班老师开始挑人了。我对我的同桌说：“要不咱俩也参加吧？”他说：“可以呀，正好我还没有过。”于是我就举手了，但是我没有看到同桌举手，正笑着看着我。我发现我没他耍了。这时演讲的人还差一个男生，老师说：“还有谁想参加，就差一个男生了。”我急忙的指着我的同桌说：“他，老师，他想参加。”于是，我们两个都参加了。
到了演讲比赛那一天，我们极不情愿的画过妆就上场了。在表演台上，我看着下边人山人海的观众， 顿时吓到了。但不得不跟着团队一起演讲。于是，在我极其紧张的心态下，终于熬过了这几分钟。
最后，我们荣获了第二名的佳绩。
现在回想起来那时候我真是怯场，现在我不会再怯场了，因为我已经长大了。

六年级时参加了一个“24点”的比赛，那场比赛令我终生难忘。原本我对这场比赛是信心十足。数学老师为了让我们取得更好的名次，特地发了一张《经典24点题集》给我们，让我们认真的多看几遍，而我却想：“切，24点这种小儿科，根本就用不着！到了比赛那天，当看到考卷时，我就立刻傻了眼，结束时，我忐忑不安的交了试卷。一共二十题，每题五分，而我只答了六题。第二天，考试结果出来后，我才知道，原来我是六年级参加比赛的同学中成绩最差的一个。
这样的成绩让我很伤心，感到特别的丢脸，但更多的`还是惶恐，我害怕老师会批评我，害怕老师把我从“三好学生”的宝座上拉下来，还害怕老师会辞掉我数学课代表的职务。想着，想着，我不禁哭了起来。然而，事实恰恰相反，刘老师并没有责怪我，而是亲切地对我说：“一次的失败不算什么，失败乃是成功之母。关键在于，失败以后，我们要清楚地认识到自身的不足，从而去更好地改进。在哪里摔倒就在哪里爬起来。”
从此，我再也不小看任何事情，每当遇到挫折时，我总会想起刘老师的那句话。每当想起这句话，我就会重新充满自信。因为，我相信，我一定能行。

When they had done so, he placed the faggot into the hands of each of them in succession, and ordered them to break it in pieces. They each tried with all their strength, and were not able to do it.

Lion was awakened from sleep by a Mouse running over his face. Rising up in anger, he caught him and was about to kill him, when the Mouse piteously entreated, saying： “If you would only spare my life, I would be sure to repay your kindness.” The Lion laughed and let him go.
It happened shortly after this that the Lion was caught by some hunters, who bound him by strong ropes to the ground. The Mouse, recognizing his roar,came up, and gnawed the rope with his teeth, and setting him free.

repayment of your favour； but now you know that it is possible for even a Mouse to confer benefits on a Lion.”
