别盲目地跟着别人走，这是我要对你说的话。下面就是一个例子：
一个人要穿过沼泽地，因为没有路可走，他便试着走。虽然很困难，但也能勉勉强强走下去。可好景不长，未走多远，不小心一脚踏进烂泥，沉了下去。
又有一个人要穿过沼泽地，看到前面人的脚印，便想：这里一定有人走过，沿着别人的脚印一定不会错。他沿着脚印向沼泽深处走去，也一不小心踏入了烂泥，沉了下去。
第三个人也要穿过沼泽地，看着前面众人的脚印，心想：这么多人都走过去了，我沿着他们的脚步一定能走到沼泽地的彼端。于是他大踏步地走去，可是他最后也一脚沉入了烂泥。
这个故事给了我们一个很好的教训。看完它，我们忍不住要问：为什么社会上的失败者这么多？因为前面失败的人挡住了在后面跟着的人的视线。后者选择盲目地跟从，后果必定和前面的人一样。世上的路并不是走的人越多就越平坦越顺利，沿着别人的脚步走，不仅走不出新意，有时可能还会还得自己跌进陷阱。
有的人认为，不管做什么事都跟在别人后面这种行为是正确、安全的.。其实不然，未来的路谁也不可预知。如果第一个人走这条路，第二个、第三个都盲目地跟随其后，那么第一个失败了，第二个、第三个也会跟着遭到同样的下场。而且，后面的
人看到有这么多人走这条路，必定会跟上，希望能借别人走过的路成功。结果呢？前面人的脚印混淆了后面人的视野和计划，后面的人只会白白害了自己。
做事和走路一样，必须开创属于自己的、和别人不一样的路线。走别人重复过好多遍的老路不一定会成功，反而可能把你引入歧途，让你陷入困境。因此，我们一定要学会创新。著名成功学家拿破仑。希尔说过：“创造力是最珍贵的财富，如果你有这种能力，就能把握生活的最佳时机。”通往成功的路不止一条，创新是必不可少的。为了不盲目地跟着别人走，你必须时时刻刻提醒自己：开创出一条你自己的路。
