为了进一步增强全校师生地震逃生应急避险意识，提高师生的紧急避险、自救自护能力，掌握地震来临时最有效的逃生方法，树德协进中学于2017年5月16日上午10:20开展了“地震应急演练”活动。
本次演练是模拟四川某地发生7.0级地震，预警时间为30秒。学校前期对演练时间、逃生路线、集合地点等做了具体的安排，并提出了具体的安全要求。各班班主任带领学生学习了紧急避险的相关知识。
5月16日，10：20学校安全领导小组组长、校长杨书文启动地震预警，警报声响后，全体学生听从教师指挥，跟随教师快速、安全、科学地进行逃生、疏散，短短3分半钟时间，全校1000多名师生全部安全疏散，并按照演练的要求安全到达指定的地方集合。整个过程师生都能做到有秩序、行动快速、配合默契，没有出现混乱的场面。最后德育处对本次演练进行了总结。
通过本次演练，师生再一次熟悉了震后疏散的集中地点和逃生路线，增强了师生防震减灾的意识，提高了师生在地震发生时的紧急避险、自救自护能力。
