说干就干，姥姥准备好了篮子和铲子，拉起我的手就上路了。左拐右拐，我和姥姥来到了一片田地里，放眼望去，一片翠绿。因为前几天刚下了一场春雨，土地很湿润，荠菜在这个时候长得最旺盛了。听姥姥说，现在荠菜都开花了，如果花开得很多的话，那就意味着荠菜老了，吃起来没那么美味了。所以要找花开的少，叶子多的荠菜。如此看来，挖荠菜也是有一定难度的。我一手拿着篮子，一手拿着铲子，弯着腰在田野里找啊找，哪有最好的荠菜呀?要不就是花开的太过了，要不就是叶子太小了，半天我都没找着棵好的。看着姥姥的篮子里已经有好几棵了，我心急如焚。不行，我得赶快找。我瞪起两只眼睛“地毯式”地搜索着，一点一点仔细地寻找着，还是没有荠菜的影儿。当我正要放弃时，突然眼前一亮，哈!一个大家伙正趴在那儿呢，我激动地跳过去，大喊：“姥姥，我找到了，找到了!”说着赶紧先把那棵荠菜铲起来，再抖抖土，放到了篮子里，然后继续寻找。突然，我又看到一棵“荠菜”，不过它的形状跟之前的不太一样，它的`形状像雪花一样，叶子呈锯齿状，“锯齿”很密、很小，颜色深绿，平铺在地上。我有点拿不定主意了：“姥姥，过来看啊，这是不是荠菜?”姥姥一看，说：“这是米荠菜，也能吃，挖出来吧。”我立刻像拾了金子一样，兴高采烈地挖了出来，放进篮子里。我发现，挖荠菜比捉迷藏还有趣，每找到一棵都是一次胜利。
我一般都是几分钟才找到一棵，姥姥却是走到一堆杂草前，拨拉拨拉，一拔就是一棵肥大的没开花的荠菜，挖起来就放到篮子里。我瞅了瞅，姥姥篮子里的“战利品”好多啊，马上就要满满的了。而我篮子里的荠菜只有可怜巴巴的几棵，唉，俗话说：“姜还是老的辣”，一点也不假。
荠菜也是善变的，不仅形状会变，颜色也会变。如果长在杂草里，那它就匍匐着，颜色很深，绿中带紫，让你分辨不出哪是荠菜哪是杂草。如果它是自己单独在一个地方，那么它的叶子就会立起来，花高高地往上长，叶子几乎没有齿，颜色呈碧绿。使劲吸着荠菜那不易察觉的菜香味，我嗅到了好闻的春天的气息。
烟花三月，正是荠菜开花的好时节，现在的孩子很少能认得荠菜，也很少能到挖荠菜的乐趣。不知明年，这里是否还能再看到满地开花的荠菜?不知明年，这里是否能多看见几个在田野里寻找荠菜的孩子?我盼望着，盼望着……

I am writing to seek your advice regarding which subject I should choose as my major, history or computer science. I am studying in the last year in high school now.
Next year, I hope that I will be able to enroll in your college. I began to take a special interest in history when I was a primary school student. I can still remember the historical stories my teachers told in class, so I was wondering if I should continue to study in your college. However, several days age, one of my friends told me that computer science is more popular nowadays.
As a matter of fact, many jobs need IT skills. I was advised that it’s more important to find a job than merely to satisfy personal interest. Therefore, it is now very hard for me to decide which subject I should choose. Must I give up my favorite subject and take employment need as a priority?
