比赛开始了。没想到兔子又睡到了大树下，动物们一片惊叹。再看看乌龟，他又变成了这场比赛的桂冠。比赛过后，兔子摇身一变，穿着高级西装，住着高级公寓，坐着高级轿车。穷困的兔子什么时候变得这么有钱。天下没有不透风的墙，这个秘密终于被一家媒体知道了。原来比赛的前一天晚上乌龟找兔子商量，答应给兔子一百万元。
这消息一传出，立刻遭到动物们的怨骂。兔子自知理亏的远走他乡。乌龟也从“天堂”坠入“地狱”，所有的地位全部随风飘去。
