接下来的几年是他们甜蜜的爱情长跑。他在南城工作，而她却在北城。那时，每每想见她的时候，他都要走上几个小时的.车程，但他一点儿也不觉得累。到了那里，他便在她的宿舍楼下，呼唤着她的名字，直到她下楼，然后一起在大街上散步，一起谈天说地。走累了，就找个排档，坐到里面，随便的点些什么填填肚子。有她的日子，他真的很开心。
瓜熟蒂落。他们结婚了。她辞去了工作，做了全职太太，她主内，他主外，日子过得有滋有味。一年后，他们有了自己的孩子。他当时心里甭提多高兴了。后来他一遍遍的教孩子叫她“妈妈”，她便在一旁傻傻的笑，笑我没一点：“才出生的孩子，怎么会说话呢？”

可天有不测风云。一次正常体检，没想到她竟被查出患有乳腺癌。当医生告诉他她已是癌症晚期的时候，他顿觉天旋地转……
他不敢告诉她病情，因为他害怕失去。而她似乎料到了一切，却反过来不停地安慰他。他紧紧的搂住她，好像害怕死神会立即带走她似的，他甚至不敢想象没有她的日子该怎么过……
但她还是走了。
直到现在，他还无法习惯没有她的日子。当他看书看到深夜时，还会习惯性的叫着：“老婆，给我倒杯水。”直到好长时间没有回音，他才会意识到她早已“熟睡”了。

顷刻间，她好像从梦中醒来，那对迷人的大眼睛犹如黑夜中狡猾的老鼠四下瞅转。她见四周无人，连忙抓起那一叠厚厚的钞票，连同那个黑色钱包，便一起塞进了自己肩上的小皮包里。连灰也来不及拍，便若无其事的向前走去。
远远的'一个晨跑的人，向这边跑来，姑娘见了，挪了挪肩上的小皮包，甩了一下那披肩长发，依旧不慌不忙的向前走去。
晨风吹拂着她婀娜多姿的身材，更美了！然而，在她美丽的外表下掩盖的却是……
文章的开头运用诗意一般的话语让主人公登场，起到吸引读者眼球的作用。然后通过细腻的外貌描写突出了姑娘的美丽，与下面捡到钱包占为己有的行为形成鲜明的对比，最后用“美丽外表下掩盖的却是……”结尾，使主题得到升华，给人想象的空间。

Please accept my resignation as associate chemist at the GERT Institute. I plan to leave my job here on September 30, 19–, taking a few days of annual leave just prior to that effective date. As you know, my primary interest has been in the oil and gas industry. Therefore, I’ve accepted a position with Fury Refining, Inc., that should put me back in touch with my “first love.” Although I’m eager to accept the challenges in this new position, I regret leaving the institute.
