消息很快传到了剩下的两只狐狸耳中，它们忽然醒悟：都怪自己听了老虎的谗言，才让老虎得逞。他俩决定再团结一致，对付那只可恶的老虎。
第二天，他俩在丛林里布置了许多陷阱，并来回走动。老虎见了立刻扑上去，可前面有陷阱，老大一闪，老虎就掉进去，摔死了。
老大和老二把老虎拉上来，剖开老虎的肚皮，把老三救出来。它们三个从此又和好了。
