The comic book mainly talks about that the hero Xiamuguizhi has a special ability to see the bogies. He is unsociable because his parents are dead. 《夏目友人帐》主要讲述了男主人公夏目贵志拥有可以看到妖怪的特殊能力。因为父母双亡他的性格较为孤僻，并且由于他具有特殊的能力，他常辗转在于亲戚之间并被同龄人欺负。虽然他经历了许多不幸，但他依旧有好善良没有埋怨任何人。最终他被有好善良的藤原夫妇收养并进入高中。有一天，他被妖怪追赶躲进神社，不小心打破了一只强大妖怪斑的封印。并牵涉到了他祖母夏目玲子的'遗物—一本同妖怪签订的契约书。之后，这只强大的妖怪平时便变成猫的样子待在夏目身边保护他，但是他的条件是夏目死后要把这本契约书给它。但在此之前夏目决定尽其所能把契约书上的名字还给妖怪们让它们得到自由。由此，一个个温馨、感人、惊险的故事就此展开。

“藏好了吗？我要抓了！”徐浩的大嗓门一响，我和小区里的几个小朋友最喜欢玩的游戏——“警察抓小偷”就开始了。
我和佳伟当“小偷”，徐浩当“警察”。我和佳伟分头行动。我选择了一个隐秘的地方——小区花园的一排矮树丛中。我弯下腰钻了进去，并趴在地上。茂密的树叶掩护着我的身体，真是一个藏身的好地方。我透过树的-缝隙，看见“警察”正在四周巡逻，好几次似乎被他看见了，吓得我心“呯呯”直跳。他转了几圈，又跑到别的地方去，嘴里喊着：“佳伟，晓蔚，我看到你们了，快出来。”我心里暗暗想：你，根本没看到我，我才不上你的当呢！乘他去找佳伟之机，我赶快转移，逃离这个“危险地带”。
逃离了危险地带，我又找到了一个安全之地——被小朋友们称作“鬼屋”的一间破烂的小房子的转角处。我竖起耳朵，紧张地听着脚步声。一会儿，脚步声由远而近，越来越近，我的心又像怀里藏了只兔子似的——蹦蹦直跳。脚步声没停下来，继续向前而去，我又放下心来。这时，我听见一声大喊：“佳伟，原来你躲在这儿！”我微微探出头去看，就在这一刹那，徐浩回过头来看见了我，并惊喜地大喊：“哈哈，我看到你了——黄晓蔚，出来吧！”我无可奈何地走了出去……
天色已晚，妈妈叫我去吃晚饭，我们三人依依不舍地分手了。

在课间十分钟里，我喜欢玩“鲨鱼抓人”的游戏。“鲨鱼抓人”是这样玩的：我们几个同学站在水泥做成的乒乓球台上，这个乒乓球台当做海岸，乒乓球台下面当做大海，有一个同学来扮演鲨鱼。开始玩游戏了，我是第一个冲进“大海”的，我被“鲨鱼”看见了，“鲨鱼”就来追我，我和“鲨鱼”都跑得满头大汗的。后来“鲨鱼”累得气喘吁吁的停了下来，他放弃追我，垂头丧气地走开了，向其他同学追去
然后，我再次冲进“大海”，与“鲨鱼”搏斗，“鲨鱼”看见了我，就箭一般的朝我冲来，我飞快地奔跑了起来，不好！前面是个胡同墙角，我不得不停了下来，眼看“鲨鱼”就要追上我，看来这次我插翅难逃了。“鲨鱼”看见我钻进了死胡同里，就慢慢地向我逼进，想把我“吃掉”。突然，我看见墙边有一个出水洞，因我身体比较瘦小，刚好能从那洞中钻出去，真是天无绝人之路，我又逃过了这一劫。
“叮铃铃、叮铃铃……”时间过得真快，我们又要回教室上课了。
“鲨鱼抓人”游戏真的很好玩，很刺激，我很喜欢玩这个游戏。
