小燕子，喜欢停在高高的电线上，一双黑色的小爪子紧紧的抓住电线，样子可真像个绅士：它昂着小小的脑袋，挺着白白的胸脯，披着笔挺的黑色礼服，一双黑溜溜的眼睛下面长着一张黄色的小觜。
人们常说是燕子剪出了美丽的春天。你看，它背着小剪刀，飞过冰封的小河，小河哗啦哗啦地唱起欢快的歌儿；它飞过柳林，柳树抽出嫩绿的枝芽；它飞过农民伯伯的桃园，桃树绽开粉红的花朵。
小燕子是个精巧的建筑师。每年春天，它都飞回来，在屋檐底下修建爱巢，燕子妈妈和燕子爸爸，一个衔泥，一个衔草，把它们的小窝建得又结实又漂亮。
小燕子还是个捕捉害虫能手，它的捉虫本领很高，能一边飞一边捉害虫。据说，它每天能捉500——600只害虫呢。
小燕子是人类的朋友，我们应该好好保护它。
