在目前教育改革与发展产生深刻剧变的关键时期，以英语新课程理念为指导，加强对初中生英语学习观念、行为的研究与剖析，着力改革和完善初中生的英语学习方式，努力构建符合新课程改革目标要求的有意义学习理论与实践体系，对优化学生英语学习和促进英语新课程改革取得实质性进展，都显得极为迫切和重要。而初中英语教学的关键在于让学生喜欢学习英语，激发他们的求知***，从而促使他们主动地学习英语。作为教师，在今后的教学中，我们要运用各种教学手段和方法培养学生的学习兴趣、挖掘学习潜能，让学生在最优环境中学习英语，感悟英语，触摸英语，让他们在学中找到乐趣，在愉悦中学到知识，在学习中永远有动力。
