当她起身准备走的时候，她的眼中出现了她丈夫的影子，她揉揉眼，以为是幻觉，睁开眼她的丈夫依旧在。这时， ，玛蒂尔德的眼眶湿润了，对于她，她自知歉意太深，有太多太多的话想要对他讲，却怎么也开不了口，唯有的只是大颗大颗的泪珠顺着脸颊往下掉……而她的丈夫什么也没说，有的只是将他的妻子玛蒂尔德抱在了怀中。

玛蒂尔德欣然离开了。拂来思节望了她远去的背影，心想：这真是一个善良的女人啊。
5天后的一个清晨，晨报上刊出一条新闻：骗子玛蒂尔德骗走拂来思节夫人的珍贵宝物，至今还在逃亡中。望知情者配合警方缉拿逃犯。
