韩麦尔先生呆在那儿，头靠着墙壁，话也不说，只向我们做了一个手势：“放学了，你们走吧。”
我慢慢地走出教室，沿着那条熟悉的小路回家。走过镇公所的时候，布告牌前的人已经退去，我一眼就看见了布告上的大字：阿尔萨斯和洛林的学校只允许教德语。我的心一紧，想把这布告撕掉。当我抬起右手准备撕的时候，两个普鲁士兵走过来，我立刻把手放下。那两个普鲁士兵看着我，又看了看布告，笑了起来：“哈哈，看到布告上的字了吧？以后你们就只能学德语了。谁叫你们的法兰西没用呢！哈哈，我们的普鲁士才是最强大的！”我气得满脸通红，瞪大了眼睛对他们说：“呸！总有一天，法兰西会打败你们的！我们的法兰西才是最最厉害的！”他们气得一通乱叫，扬起拳头把我打倒在地，哈哈地笑着走了。
我擦了擦嘴角留着的血，忍着痛，飞快地跑回家。
推开家门，妈妈正在洗衣服。我飞快地奔入妈妈的怀抱，向她讲述刚发生的故事，并向妈妈复述布告上的内容，妈妈听了也悲愤不已。
夜深了，天上的星星困得直眨眼，可我却倦意全无，脑子里总闪过布告上的字和普鲁士兵傲慢的神态。
我决定了，我要去——撕布告！
我悄悄地下床，悄悄地走出家门，悄悄地来到布告牌前，借着月光，我再一次看见了那些令人愤怒的字，我再一次抬起右手，看了看周围——没人！我立刻把布告撕下来，飞快地跑进一条无人的后巷，把布告撕得粉碎，然后悄悄地回家。
第二天，我与同学一起去车站给韩麦尔先生送行。韩麦尔先生恋恋不舍地看着我们，看着美丽的阿尔萨斯。突然，骑车鸣笛了，韩麦尔先生无奈地走上车，始终不敢再看一眼这个美丽的地方。我目送着汽车远去，心想，我一定要夺回这个美丽的地方！
可是，直到我死的那一天，也没能看到普鲁士兵的铁蹄踏出这个美丽的地方。但我相信，一个我倒下了，还会有千千万万个像我一样的人站起来，拿起手中的武器，夺回这个美丽的地方，让它不再受普鲁士的欺辱！

They don't realize that wasting time is actually equal to killing themselves. They always regret not having made great achievements. One of the reasons may be they do not make good use of time.
