我给你们出一个谜语吧：麻屋子，红帐子，里面住个白胖子。是什么?对了，是花生!花生的用途可大了，被人们称为“长生果”“素中荤”等许多美名。今天，我们就来说说花生吧。
花生由粗糙的皮(麻屋子薄薄的花生衣(红帐子以及里面那个圆滚滚的花生仁(白胖子组成。
花生皮十分粗糙，上面有许多小眼眼，长得十分不好看，不过，你可不要以貌取“花生”，花生皮是上好的肥料，把花生皮剥下，放在土里发酵，过不了几天，就能变成上好的肥料，花生皮也是上好的动物饲料，喂猪鸡鸭，它们会长得膘肥体壮的，并且也很快乐。花生皮不单是肥料、饲料，还是上好的燃料，听妈妈说，把花生皮晒干，火苗一碰上它，便会高兴得一蹦三尺高。
花生衣看起来很不起眼，可是你是否知道，它是一种药材呢。把花生衣放在温水里，等上二十到三十分钟，就会变成一种微红色的液体，味道虽然有些苦，但常喝能起到健胃的功效。
花生仁就像一个圆滚滚的大胖子似的。花生仁的用途可大了，不但可以直接使用，而且可以炸出各种香喷喷的油，花生仁里的含油量极高，平均一千克花生，就能压榨出130克油，在植物里仅次于月见草!
多吃花生还可以补血，使脸蛋红扑扑的，原来花生油这么大的功效啊。

“清明前后，种瓜种豆。”话虽这么说，但在农村里，花生却抢了瓜、豆的风头。走进田里，就一定能够看都农民热火朝天地播种花生的景象。
花生种下地一个月之后，原本土黄色的田就变成了一望无垠的绿色，那可说是立春以来田地里的第一抹绿。那绿，在阳光下显得万分耀眼，闪烁着光华;那绿，在微风中，掀起层层“波浪”从近处推向天边;那绿，好象充满了生机，可以看出那每一点绿里都跳动着一个新生命。花生的叶子同咖啡豆极其相似，但远比咖啡豆大得多，大约有4平方厘米大小，一片一片，如爬山虎一般把土壤遮得严严实实，不留一点空隙。
花生种下地两个月之后，就会开花了。花生的话不像丝瓜的话那样大而夺目，不像套话那样俏丽，不像向日葵话那样鲜艳，更不像菜花那样开得轰轰烈烈，它从不曾想引起人的一点注意。它只是轻轻地来又轻轻地走，不带走人们一句夸奖的话，不带走一个赞美的目光，不带走一个赞叹的词语。它默默地给人以万绿丛中一点黄的享受，让人享受稀疏的美，享受星星点点的美。
时间飞逝，一转眼，两个月又从指缝里匆匆过去了。花生也已长出了果实，农民们看着一天天凸起的.泥土，喜笑颜开，乐在脸上，也喜在心里。待到花生完全成熟的时候，只要抓住花生绿油油的茎，用里一拔，立即可以见到花生已经丰收的果实。花生的果实数不胜数，一株花生上可结出数十个花生。数十个花生在一个根上好似风铃一般，风一吹，立即奏出轻微但又动听的响声，农民们听了，脸上不禁荡漾起一丝发自内心的笑。
在我的家乡，花生在人们心中占据着不可取代的地位。花生刚刚收获，正值中秋节，人们立即会煮上一锅花生，慷慨地请嫦娥品尝;过年了，几乎每一户人家都要炒上一坛子花生留到过年的时候吃，这花生虽然人人家中都有，但却胜过了任何山珍海味;在平日里，同样也是处处都有花生的踪影，在宴席沙锅内，可见煮花生米，在闲谈的时候，可生吃花生米，晚上，一家人坐在一起，同样可以品尝炒花生米，那份家人之间的融洽就随着花生浓郁的香气飘溢四周。据说一医生多吃花生可增加血小板，从而达到止血的功效，这使人们更加喜爱花生了。
过了8月，花生的一生虽然结束了，但它留下的丰收果实却给人们带来了欢乐。当人么吃着花生闲聊时开怀大笑，欢声笑语撒向天空的时候，是否会感受到花生的一生的意义呢?是否会发现花生从生长到结果之间隐含着某些深奥的道理呢?是否会明白花生给他们的启迪是什么?是否能知道其实我们应该像花生一样呢?
