我去过的地方有很多，给我印象最深的，要数首都北京了。
那是2006年的事了，我和妈妈一起去北京旅游。
我们先到了天安门广场，宽阔的广场上有一条用石头铺成的“龙脉”。从广场一角看，高高矗立的人民英雄纪念碑，活像一把利剑，插在“龙脉”上。传说，那龙脉原来是一条恶龙，经常兴风作浪，给百姓们带来灾难，英雄们决定治一治这条恶龙，于是他们齐心协力把恶龙打倒了。为了不再让这条恶龙起来继续作恶，英雄们便造了一把硕大无比的利剑，插在龙身上。这真是一个美丽的传说！
看完天安门广场，该参观故宫了，城墙的每一角，都有一个角楼。第一道门是午门，门后的那一组桥叫金水桥，据说只有皇帝才可以走中间的那座桥，我和妈妈走的就是中间的桥，嘿嘿！
金水桥过后是太和门，两边是分别是贞度门和昭德门。再往后，可就是“公安局”了——太和殿，皇上就在那里办案呢。
后面是中和殿、保和殿、前清门……我想这应该是皇上休息的地方吧。
最后从顺贞门到神武门就可以出去啦！
北京真美啊，真希望明年再来一次！

第二天，一大早，妈妈把我从睡梦中叫醒。我匆忙穿好衣服，一起坐地铁去天安门广场。天还没亮，广场上就已经人山人海，广场的北边是庄严巍峨的天安门城楼，西边是高达神圣的人民大会堂，南边是肃穆的***的纪念堂，东边刚刚落成的国家博物馆，随着响亮的口号，高大英俊的仪仗队队员迈着整齐的步伐，护卫着国旗，来到旗杆下。随着庄严地国歌声，国旗缓缓上升，大家注视着国旗的升起。我也激动的行起少先队队礼。我仰望天空，从右边飞来的白色的.和平鸽从天空飞过。升旗结束了，可我的心情久久不能平静。妈妈还带我参观了博物馆、王府井天街购物……
北京之行结束了，我感触很深，我们首都北京是一个现代化的都市，那里有记载灿烂历史文化的博物馆，繁荣发达的商业街，更有凝聚我们爱国之情的升旗仪式！

We also went to the Palace Museum. The Palace Museum has 9999 palaces. It has a very long history. I bought a lot of souvenirs of the Palace Museum. What nice palaces these are!
