教师的劳动始终具有示范性，在教育、教学活动中，教师不仅以自己的知识，技能去影响学生们，他的品德修养、道德情操、作风仪表，治学精神以至劳动态度都起着耳濡目染、潜移默化的影响，这种表率作用是任何其他教育因都无法代替的。正如俄国教育家乌申斯基说：“固然许多事有赖于学校的一般规章，但是重要的东西永远取决于跟学生们而对面交往的教师个性，教师的个性对年轻人的心灵影响所形成的那种教育力量，是无论靠教科书、靠道德说教、靠奖惩制度都无法取代的。”可见教师自身的修养和业务的提高显得特别重要。以身作则，为人师表、严于律已是对教师的基本要求，教师应该在自己的一切行为举止中，以身作则地成为学生们的表率，成为其有高尚的共产主义品德、坚定的共产主义信念、广泛的文化修养和渊博的知识的楷模。只有这样才能说服学生们。这就是我们常说的“身教重于言教”。教师只有不屡提高自己的职业道德和智能素养才能做好教育工作。

Everyone has his own dream. I want to be a good doctor in the future. The reason is that some doctors saved my life after I was badly hurt in a traffic accident. I was deeply impressed by their medical skils and greatly moved by their care for me. From then on, to be a doctor in the future has always been my dream.
Our dreams can’t be realized unless we make all our efforts. Therefore, the first thing I will do is to remember what my dream is. I won’t let it leave my mind, because it will help me to keep trying and fighting for what I want. What’s more, I will do my best to increase my knowledge and improve my abilities to prepare myself for an excellent doctor. Last but not least, I will never give up. Mike would like to be a writer. He’d like to share his wonderful stories with others. Tom would like to be a cook. He’d like to cook delicious food for others. I would like to be a policeman. I want to protect the people safe。

忠诚于人民教育事业是教师的基本教育准则。如前所述，教师的劳动特点是长期复杂的，它不是单凭经济招待会手段、行政命令及立法措施所能奏效的，教师为认识自己的劳动对象并能掌握和改变他们，所需付出的社会必要劳动是无法估量的，它的工作量往往超过社会规定的时间和空间，甚至有时还要超越他们自身的负荷，倾注了全部精力和心血，而所得的劳动报酬却往往和他们的劳动支出不相适应。因此，教师只有具备高尚的革命理想和献身精神，充分认识自身工作在“四化”建设中的重要意义，才能树立从事教育事业的光荣感和责任感，以自己的知识和修养去点燃学生们智慧的火花。
