在二十世纪初，我们凯巴伯森林里松杉葱郁，生机勃勃。万物都遵循着大自然的生存法则——“弱肉强食”，井然有序地生活、繁衍着。但是，一切的不幸都在那一天降临在我们身上。我们遇见了第一批猎人。当黑洞洞的小孔对准我们时，大家还没有弄清楚这是什么东西，就有同伴丧生。那一个个会闪光喷火的弹孔令每一匹狼闻风丧胆。
鹿因为没有了我们狼族的猎捕，大肆繁殖起来，以至于我一走出巢穴就能碰到好几只身肥体壮、腿脚不灵的鹿。不过，事物达到了极端就会迅速衰退，这大概也印证了“盛极必衰”的道理。灾难很快就降临在鹿群，而鹿却浑然不知。草和树皮都被啃光了，大地上除了一片枯黄，便是一串串凌乱的鹿蹄印。疾病也随之而来。大量的鹿死去了，锐减速度之快，让我们狼族甚为惊讶。
罗斯福总统，您知道为什么大批的鹿会死去吗?其实最根本的原因在于您下令消灭我们狼族。也许，在你们人类的思想里，我们永远是凶残邪恶、令人生厌的“大灰狼”，而那些我们所猎取的食物——鹿却永远被贴上了美丽、善良、温顺的标签。这难道不令狼感到气愤吗?现实世界并不是格林兄弟精心营造的童话世界，更不是由个人主宰的小世界。狼与鹿是两种同存于世界的生物，上天赋予了他们两种不同的使命——“猎食”与“被猎食”。狼维护着鹿的种群稳定，而鹿解决了狼的温饱问题。生命的舞台上，我们都是十分重要的角色呀!无知的人类不能随意去试图改变这个规则，如果你们灭绝了狼，如果你们灭绝了鼠，如果你们灭绝了熊，那你们失去的就会是可爱温顺的鹿、神秘高贵的猫……
“人之将死，其言也善”，希望我的一番话能让人类彻底醒悟!总统阁下，赶紧下令阻止愚蠢的做法吧!
