后院的菜地里，西红柿的秧已经悄悄地爬上竹架，挂满了一个个小小的、黄色的、红色的小西红柿，像一个个小小的灯笼一样；一阵微风吹来，又像一串串风铃一样，仿佛在说：“我快成熟啦，快来收获吧！”
黄瓜架上挂满了一个个翠绿的小黄瓜，像一个个弯弯的小镰刀。水萝卜露出了圆圆的红脑袋，头顶一簇簇绿色的叶子，样子又滑稽又可爱。

农民们居住的小平房，虽然十分简陋，远远比不上城里的洋房，花园，但十分整洁，干净；在平房前，常常会看到房前的碧绿的瓜架，一片片绿色的小叶子中，结满了又细又长的可爱的黄瓜。走到瓜架前，一股清香直沁肺腑，感到十分惬意。
在房前的场地上，总会有几株艳丽的花朵，米黄的是凤仙，白的是芍药，红的是鸡冠花，紫的，桃红的，金黄的都是美丽耀眼的大丽菊，散发出浓郁的香味，吸引着人们，美丽之极。
在屋后有一大丛竹子，形成了一片竹林，在竹林之中，有一张石桌和几把石椅。清晨，到竹林中漫步，别有一番风趣。林中薄薄的晨雾中，传来几声清脆的鸟鸣，坐在石椅上，吮吸着这甘甜的空气，欣赏着早晨竹林的美景，这样悠闲、自在的生活，怎能不让人向往？
鸡，这是农家人们必养的一种动物。有时候母鸡招呼着一群可爱的小鸡，在他们的房屋后走来走去地觅食；而有着一大堆长尾巴的雄鸡，在场地上走啊走，十分有趣。
“哗？哗？哗。”你听，不就是那条长年潺潺地流的小河吗？直到现在，它依然那样清澈，那样温柔。在圆圆的，五彩的鹅卵石之间，一条条可爱的鱼儿在水中来回穿梭，太阳照在它身上，金光闪闪，十分美丽。水面一群洁白的鸭子游戏水中，不时地把扁扁的头扎到水去觅食，好玩极了。
田园风光，有山有水，体现出了乡下人家自然、和谐的美好画卷。怎能不令我喜爱、向往？
