At college, I missed my parents a lot. As the term was drawing to an end, I eagerly looked forward to going home. And I planned to do a thousand and one things during the vacation. Above all, I wanted to help my mother with housework. I also wished to read many hooks which my teachers had recommended. However, at home, my mother would never let me do anything. She completely deprived me of sharing her work. As soon as I opened a book to read,she would sit down beside me and ask me about all kinds of things at the college. To please her,I told her one thing after another,and soon I forgot all about books. Even when I was actually reading,she would, now and then,insist that I should eat an egg or drink a cup of tea. When I left home at the end of the vacation, not a thing in my plan had been carried out. But I felt very happy. I believed much more deeply than before in the old saying: Home, sweet home. There’s no place like home!

the summer vacation had come round again. i was happy that i could forget about school at least for a while. lest i fool around all through this summer vacation, i made a plan as to how to spend it. first, i thought i should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that i could have a better understanding of them.
then i thought i should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. it stood to reason that with such a good plan i should make the best of my vacation time. i did, because i lived up to what i had planned.
去年暑假我的旅行英语作文【三】
暑假期间我和妈妈的二人探险队又增加了一名新队员，就是我的姨妈，姨妈对我们的探索旅程很好奇，所以也跟来了，我们三个人参观了故宫博物院，也到了至善园喂鱼，还去了内湖的美丽华百乐园，看那亚洲首屈一指的巨大摩天轮。
我们一到故宫差点吓坏了，因为暑假一到，全世界的人好像都在故宫集合了，里面有西方人，有日本人、大陆人、香港人、台湾人……等，许多各国的游客说着各种不同的语言，人山人海，就像菜市场一样热闹滚滚，大伙摩肩接踵，因此我不但听不清楚解说员的解说、陈列品也看不仔细，最后只好有些扫兴的离开。
还好大部份的游客不会去故宫下方的至善园，园里除了有江南的园林建筑，还有硕大肥美的锦鲤和游泳动作幽雅的天鹅，以及爱晒太阳的乌龟，更有许多动物和昆虫都在向我招手。姨妈是第一次去，所以还不断称赞那里的亭台楼阁古色古香呢！只是景物依旧，“鱼”事已非，锦鲤的数量和往年相比明显变少了，今年我特别准备了一公斤的鱼饲料想好好安慰它们，但任凭我如何努力的洒饲料想唤醒全池子的鱼儿，但总不像去年全体集合的壮观，可能是鱼饲料吃太多，吃“腻”了的原故。太阳下山晚风吹送，吹跑一整天的暑气，坐在凉亭里真是舒服极了，只是关园的时间到了，我们不得不离开。接着我们来到了内湖美丽华百乐园——亚洲最高摩天轮，我站在它的下方，可能是太近了，所以不觉得它美丽，反而是头昏眼花、双腿无力，任凭妈妈如何游说，我也不敢上去坐坐看，虽然姨妈也说我逊，但能为妈妈省钱也是功劳一件吧！
“早出晚归”，玩得好过瘾喔，而且多了姨妈参与，整个行程更有趣了，希望姨妈下次有空再和我们一起去探索美丽的城市。

summer can be very hot in southern taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32"c or more. because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. also because of this i stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky.
actually i like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. in the summer vacation that has just ended i went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. this summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. as a second-year senior student i had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. in other words, i must find time to study, too.
so i divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.
