大家应该都听说过盲人摸象的故事吧，这则故事主要讲的是：有一次，几个盲人根据自己的触觉来判断大象形状，第一个盲人摸到了大象的鼻子，就说大象形状是跟一条绳差不多，第二个盲人摸到了大象的腿，就说大象形状跟一个圆筒差不多，第三个盲人摸到了大象的耳朵，就说大象的形状跟一个扇子差不多。
这则故事让我们感到忍俊不禁，但殊不知，我们很多人像里面的盲人一样，眼睛好像被以往的经验遮住挡住了，只是依靠自己的经验来判断一个新奇的事物。
作为新时代的新青少年，我们本来就不盲，但遇到一个新鲜事物总会主观判断，所以我们要开阔视野，积累经验。很多有名的作家就会了积累经验，而去到了个个艰苦的地方。
杰克·伦敦为了获得更多更好的素材，他不怕艰苦，游走各个贫民窟，同穷汉们一起生活，最终写成巨著《深渊中的人们》;托尔斯泰为了《战争与和平》写的更加真实，亲自上战场遗迹考察;徐霞客为了写成《徐霞客游记》，走访各座名山，历经各种危险;法布尔到处观察昆虫，不怕苦，不怕累，最后终成巨著《昆虫记》。
为了使笔下有真情实感，这些大作家一直在开拓自己的眼界，这也难怪他们的文章有着巨大的感染力，成为脍炙人口的佳作。莎士比亚说过：经验是一点一点观察得来的结果。作为新时代的新青年，我们不能因为只懂了一点皮毛，而就认为自己上知天文下知地理无所不能。
所以，作为新时代的新青年，我们不能只满足于现在所获得的知识，而是应该到处走走，开阔我们的眼界，从而获得充足的经验，这样，我们就能见怪不怪。
