文具盒、铅笔和橡皮是一个大家庭。
这一天，我发现我的外套落在学校了，所以我回去拿外套，碰巧发现铅笔和橡皮好像在说什么。所以我走近了叙事，听到铅笔大声说:“我是我的小主人最有用的文具。我应该在中间，这样主人可以更方便地得到我。”
然而，橡皮擦不服气地说，“这怎么可能.我对主人最有用。没有我，如果主人写错了字，我应该在中间。”
就这样，一场争吵开始了。你和我争论过，没有人放过任何人。不知不觉中，两个小时过去了，结果还没有决定。文具盒嘎嘎作响，吵得像一场战争。我真的很佩服他们。争吵可能会持续两个小时。
这时，文具盒开始说话了。它慢慢地说:“亲爱的朋友，停止争吵。文具是主人的小助手。没有我们，师父就不能好好上学，所以我们都是师父最有用的助手！我们必须团结起来，提供更好的服务。”
听到这些，铅笔和橡皮脸红了，互相道歉。他们又都回到了各自的位置！铅笔盒又成了一个快乐的大家庭！

有几个人闲来无事，在一起聊天。一个年纪大的人对周围几个人说：“吃梨对人的牙齿有好处，不过，吃多了的话是会伤脾的。吃枣呢，正好与吃梨相反，吃枣可以健脾，但吃多了却对牙齿有害。”
人群中一个呆头呆脑的青年人觉得有些疑惑不解，他想了想说：“我有一个好主意，可以吃梨有利牙齿又不伤脾，吃枣健脾又不至于伤牙齿。”
那位年纪大的人连忙问他说：“你有什么好主意，说给我们大家听听!”
那傻乎乎的青年人说：“吃梨的时候，我只是用牙去嚼，却不咽下去，它就伤不着脾了;吃枣的时候，我就不嚼，一口吞下去，这样不就不会伤着牙齿了吗?”
一个人听了青年说的话，跟他开玩笑说：“你这不是将枣囫囵着吞下去了吗?”
在场的人都哈哈大笑起来，笑得那个青年人抓耳挠腮，更是傻乎乎的了。
这个年轻人自作聪明，如果按他说的办法囫囵吞枣的话，那枣子整个地连核也吞下去了，难以消化，哪还谈得上什么健脾呢?我们学习知识也是这样，如果对所接受的知识不加以分析、消化、理解，只是一味生吞活剥，那是得不到什么收益的。

能力对命运说：“你的功绩哪里比得上我啊?”
命运说：“你有什么功绩要和我比试?”
能力说：“寿与夭、穷与达、贵与贱、贫与富，都是我能做到的。”
命运说：“可是，彭祖的智慧不在尧舜之上，却享有800岁高寿。颜渊的才能不在众人之下，却早夭。孔子的道德不在诸侯之下，却倍受困窘。殷纣王的德行不在箕子、微子、比干等贤臣之上，却位居王位。季札在吴国得不到爵位，田恒却占有了齐国。有气节的伯夷和叔齐饿死在首阳山，而无耻的季孙氏比坐怀不乱的柳下惠要富足得多。还有许多例子就不举了。假如这些都是你所能操纵的，那么为什么让此人长寿而让彼人短命，使圣人穷却让逆子发达，让贤人贱却让愚人显贵，使善人贫却让恶人暴富呢?”
能力回答说：“假如像你刚才所说，我本来对众人是无功的，所以众人才会这样;那么难道这些都是你所控制得了的吗?”
命运接着说：“既然说是命运，那么还需要谁来控制呢?我不过是顺其自然，直的就往前推，率的就听任它。实际上，人们都是自寿自夭、自穷自达、自贵自贱、自富自贫，我哪里能够知道那么多呢?我怎么能管得了那么多呢?”
能力和命运的这段对话说明：力是进取之力，命是自然之命;力与命紧密相联，命与力因果相关;有什么样的能力，就会有什么样的命运;而“命”的最终取向，除了自身努力外，还必须借助自然的力量。
