the radius of the earth is about 6,370 kilometres. it takes the earth 24 hours to rotate once. objects on the earths equator move with the earth at a speed of 460 metres per second, and the air close to the earths surface turns at the same speed. if the earth stopped rotating suddenly, the air would keep flowing eastward at a speed of 460 metres per second. the wind would be fourteen times as powerful as a hurricane. at the same time sea water would rush eastward at a speed of several hundred metres per second, which might do damages much greater than a seaquake would do. obviously, men could hardly stand such a catastrophe.
even if such a catastrophe would not happen, there would be a great temperature difference on the two hemispheres of the earth, and the four seasons of the year would no longer occur because a day and a night would be as long as a whole year instead of 24 hours. all this would greatly affect the life of human beings, imals and plants and that would cause worse results than anything imaginable.

父母是人生中最重要的人，他们生养了我们，教我们如何待人处事，他们是我们最坚强的依靠……然而，我们也应该思考：这样的依靠是不是该有一个度呢？究竟什么才是恰当的依靠，最合理的放手呢？
家教故事对于我来说并不陌生，家里的很多书籍包括一些电视节目都是有关家教的。从古至今，对于孩子究竟该如何教育，各路人都各抒己见。在一次政治课上，刘老师正讲独立的问题，并顺便提起了中国父母与外国父母的区别：比如孩子摔倒了，中国父母总是赶紧跑上去，将孩子扶起，然后询问其原因。假如磕到了桌子，父母通常都会为了逗孩子开心说桌子坏，我帮你打桌子！这个时候，孩子总会露出满意的笑容；而外国父母的做法则是毫无反应，让孩子自己爬起来。实际上，这样的故事我看过也听过许多了。小学的阅读理解上也常常有这类文章，但我的感触却比别人深得多，因为我也亲身经历过。
小时，我是个很调皮的.小孩，常常到处乱蹦乱跑，然后被石头绊倒，或是磕到桌子，两个膝盖破皮，鲜红的血流淌下来。有时好不容易结痂了，但是又破皮流血了，之后便化脓了。这一切现在听来也觉得毛骨悚然，更何况是幼时的我？还记得那一次，我在走路时跌跌撞撞，摔得很重，膝盖全部都是伤，我正放声大哭，希望能够得到同情与帮助。谁知爸爸在旁边看了不但没有上前扶我，反而在旁边一脸怪异地笑，然后用那厚实的手掌鼓掌。那掌声真响亮啊！就像一声声讽刺与嘲笑在我耳边回荡着。我哭得更不知所措了，但是一会儿，我还是抹干眼泪，爬了起来。爸爸若无其事地带着我回家了。
其实在我家，诸如此类与别的家庭都不一样的教育方式还很多，幼时总是不能理解这是为何，但是长大了渐渐都明白了，也在经历了一次次的挫折与困难中更加明晰了！爸爸是为我跌倒了但又擦干眼泪重新站起来鼓掌！为我在成长道路上经历摔倒，经历风雨而鼓掌！
这让我想起了前阶段热播的电视剧《一仆二主》里的爸爸过于想为女儿做点贡献，为她铺平了一条宽敞的大路，希望她不要重蹈自己的覆辙，吃苦。当然，这并没有对与错，全天下的父母都在用自己的方式爱孩子，但不经历风雨怎能见彩虹？只有跌倒后坚强地爬起，继续往下走，再跌倒，再不畏艰辛地向前走…才能收获到人生的真谛！许多父母总想为孩子铺平一条宽敞平坦的道路，让孩子不要走自己年轻时的路，这样反而会让孩子走得过于一帆风顺，没有经历过风雨，不知人世间的多姿多彩，有乐有哀，也不知如何坚强的活出生命的光辉！
现在每次遇到困难，在我耳边都会响起那掌声，它在告诉着我：勇敢的站起来，继续朝着你的目标前进，前进……

Recently, there is a popular saying: the world is so large that I want to have a look! As more and more people travel around during their holidays, tourists have brought large sum of money to the local people.
However, too many tourists also bring some problems to the local life. The most serious problem is the pollution caused by the uncivilized tourists. It’s reported that there were thousands of tons of rubbish left after the flag-raising ceremony on Oct. 1st. The uncivilized tourists left their rubbish wherever they go, polluting the local environment. Another problem is the traffic jam caused by so many tourists.
Tourist can promote the economic development of the local areas, but the pollution caused by those uncivilized tourists has brought severe problems. The local tourist authority should set up relative laws to protect the environment of the local areas, and every tourist obey the laws and help to make the places of tourist more beautiful!
