My mum is not only a good teacher, but also a great mother. She is patient with me and always smiling while talking. My mum teaches me how to think independently and helps me to build up my confidence. When I have some difficulties in my studies, it is my mum who encourages me to work until I solve the problem. When I’m feeling sad or bad, it is also my mum who looks after me with care.

I remember when I caught a fever at midnight last year, my mum took me to the hospital as fast as she could. When we got home after my injection, it was about 5 o’clock in the early morning. 刚开学，一个突如其来的消息传遍了我们班级：“数学要换新老师!”全班像炸开了锅，同学们议论纷纷。这个说：“老师是男是女?”那个说：“老师凶不凶?”有的说……
“来了，来了!”随着不知哪个同学的话音，这位同学们热门话题的焦点人物---新老师迈着沉稳的步伐走进教室。映入我的眼帘是一位身穿黑白相间上衣和白色短裙、三四十岁左右、中等身材的女子。只见她剪着一头散发着青春的短发，几条细细的皱纹爬在额头上，长长的睫毛下闪烁着一双锐利无比却布满血丝的眼睛，说起话来声音略带轻微的沙哑。
自从新老师来到我们班，上数学课时说悄悄话和做小动作的现象大大减少了，没完成好作业的同学也“无路可逃”了!放学时间推迟了，我们的耳边响起了更多唠叨声，我和其他同学一样有点埋怨老师像“太平洋警察”。
不久后发生了一件事，让我改变了对新老师的看法。一天早上，我背着书包走在操场上，突然感觉一道目光落在我身上，我扭头一看，新老师面带微笑地走近我，她和蔼地对我说：“苏楠，你的作文写得很好，如果再努力的话，相信你的数学也会达到优秀……”这时，我发现她的眼睛里有一种我非常熟悉的目光，那是和我爸爸妈妈一样的目光，里面充满着期待。虽然谈话是那么短暂，却使我感到震撼：她竟然知道我的作文!此时，我仿佛一下子明白了新老师推迟放学时间和反复唠叨的用心，我仿佛一下子明白了新老师双眼为什么布满血丝!
新老师不但在学习上对我们要求很严厉，而且做事也非常公正。记得有一次上课时，新老师严厉地、毫不留情地批评了一位正在做小动作的女生。这位女生平时对同学冷冷淡淡，常以自己优异的成绩而作为奚落别人的本钱。所以，同学们都很讨厌她。而大部分老师都因为她学习好宠着她护着她，即使她犯了错，也舍不得批评。新老师的这一举动，让我们感到十分解恨，让我们体验到了公正!
一晃眼，充满快乐的两个多月学习生活过去了，新老师已变成“旧”老师，她依旧勤勤恳恳春蚕抽丝般地为我们付出着。她脸上几粒淡淡的雀斑，仿佛在告诉我们：“努力学习，时间不等人!”
