对于初中生而言，作文要学会写自己，写自己的内心情感和深度思维，这一点非常重要。
“遇见另一个自己”这一文题可以分为几个层面来分析思考。
首先，另一个自己当是不同于一般情况下那个为人熟悉的自己，甚至是不同于先前自我认知的那个自己。那么，我们必须先回答这样一个问题——“另一个自己”是怎样的?但这并不是要你言不由衷地对先前的自己作简单的否定，因为写作应该真实地再现我们对事物的认识，包括对自我的`认识。而且，这个自己可以是与先前的自己相反的优势表现，如自信、聪慧、勇敢等等，也可以是一种负面的东西，比如说怯懦、骄傲、鲁莽等等。当然这些特点必须通过具体的叙述和描写显示出来，而非概念化地陈述。
其次，当我们完成了上述内容的思考之后，我们就可以知道另一个自己具有哪些特质，而把这些特质与之前的自我特点融合在一起，正是文章应该着重体现的内容。
最后，两个自我在客观上本就是一体的，这种情况下的“遇见”就包含了矛盾、冲突，当然这并不一定是绝对的非此即彼，两者之间也可以是一种协作、互补的关系，最终解决问题，也就是自我思想的提升，文章的主旨立意也自然而然地显示出来。
其实，这样的一种对人的思考，在我们的教材中是有很多优秀范例的，如果作一些回顾，我们可以发现这些文本中都有着“遇见另一个自己”的素材。例如：朱自清先生的《背影》一文中，先前的那个暗笑父亲迂的自己，写作此文时那个含着泪光、想着父亲背影的自己，就是两个自我的交织、冲突而最终后者占据主导地位的过程，是一种对人生认识的提升。林海音女士的《窃读记》中的自我的心灵解读将人物内心的情感变化的脉络表现得淋漓尽致，自我与另一个自我的相遇，既是一种内在的必然，又是由于外在的诱因，最终将作者的情感体验、思维过程充分地展现于读者面前。牛汉先生创作的《滹沱河和我》更为巧妙地将自我的双重性和一致性表达了出来，借助滹沱河表现了自我的一种认识的提升，也为我们呈现了一种新颖的“遇见另一个自己”的思考路径。
以上几例名家之作为我们的写作提供了一些实实在在的范本，如果我们细作思量，可为我们提供更多创作思路的课文是非常多的，而且并不仅仅局限于白话文作品。
由此可见，阅读积累对于写作而言，是非常重要的，当然更为重要的是我们对于生活、生命的思考。
