每当初夏时节，远远就可以看见“小荷才露尖尖角，早有蜻蜓立上头”的一片景色。荷花绽开了笑脸，白荷花和粉荷花在微风的吹拂下轻轻的舞蹈，散发出一丝丝淡淡的`香。颗颗晶莹透亮的露珠在碧绿的荷叶上兴奋的跳跃，开心的玩耍着。
荷花池里的水清澈透底，透过层层碧绿的荷叶，隐约能看到水中的小鱼在追逐嬉戏。蜻蜓在荷花池上掠过，尾尖沾了一下水面，就看见波纹一圈圈的荡漾开去。
在荷花池的中央有一座美丽而又古老的凉亭，亭子由六根滚圆的红漆柱子和红褐色的圆屋顶组成。顶子的最高端有一个胖胖的小葫芦，它的四周“长”着六只牛角，我很喜欢在那里面玩耍。连着亭子和岸边的是一座长长的小桥，桥面由青石砌成，平整而又光滑。桥的两旁是用金属做成的护栏，美观又安全。小桥离水面很低，似乎一伸手就可触摸水面，其实还远得很。那里是孩子们最常去的地方。
夏天花开了、草长了、树高了，孩子们在这郁郁葱葱的夏天里开心的玩耍、兴奋的奔跑……
