在我记忆的长河中，有许许多多闪亮的明珠，其中有一颗明珠最亮，那就是我最难忘的一件事。
记得三年级时，我成绩平平，充其量是一个中等生，但有一件事却改变了我。
一天，老师拿来一堆厚厚的稿纸，对我们说：省里举行了一次作文大赛，希望大家积极参加。那时我还小，不懂什么是比赛，也觉得自己和别的优等生差远呢，就没把这件事当回事。正当我准备放弃时，老师报出参加比赛人的名字时，我大吃一惊：竟然还有我的名字！
但一阵激动之后，我又冷淡了下来，认为自己也没什么，只不过运气好罢了，虽然心里这么想，但还是觉得不甘失败，就鼓足了勇气，参加了比赛。
虽说有了勇气，可我觉得还是没有什么水平和经验，便请妈妈指导，而妈妈讲得对我来说又太深奥，我没怎么听，又想放弃了。
但经过一番考虑后，我还是想去写，因为我觉得我不是那种懦夫，就又重张旗鼓，拿起了笔，在纸上写下我竭尽全力却自我感觉不怎么好的作文，交给了老师，也没完全把这事放在心上。
到了公布获奖名单时，我若无其事地看着书，可是，当老师报到一等奖的名单时，居然有我，我的内心沸腾了！
那时，我觉得我是世界上最幸福的人了，而且，从那以后，我彻底改变了我认为自己永远比不上别人的观念，认为自己同样也是一个优等生。同时在那一刻，我第一次流下了激动的泪水。
