这一次，《开学第一课》的主题是“先辈的旗帜”。节目开头是一段歌舞表演，然后是几位久经沙场的老红军为我们讲述他们长征的故事。其中，最令我感动的是贺炳炎将军的故事。在长征的一次战斗中，他被敌人打断了一只手臂，必须马上截肢，但是，当时没有手术用具，医生只好把他绑在门板上，用锯子把他的手臂一点一点的锯了下来，而且，整个过程没有用麻药！
看完这个节目后，我感慨万千：记得我6岁时，第一次拔牙，我因为怕痛，死活不敢去，就是躺在了拔牙的床上，也不张开嘴。后来，妈妈说给我买玩具，我才张开了嘴。跟贺炳炎将军比起来，我十分惭愧。贺炳炎可是在没有麻药的情况下，一点一点的把他的手臂锯下来的啊！

“坚持”这个词语我们大家一定也很熟悉。当四川发生了八级大地震的时候，有多少人被埋在了废墟底下，他们都盼望那些、救援人员把自己救出来。在那时候就靠的就是坚持，因为坚持就是胜利。多坚持几分钟，救援人员就有可能在这几分钟的时间里发现你还活着在下面。在生活中我们也要学会坚持，做一件事情不能半途而废，一定要把这件事情做完。
