《西游记》改编需要贴近原著吗

解放观点：新版电视剧《西游记》最近热播，引发又一阵争议，被网友戏称为“雷剧”。有人把这些年来的各种《西游记》改编放在一起观赏，发现变化很大。您觉得《西游记》的要旨究竟是什么？
骆玉明：《西游记》与《红楼梦》、《儒林外史》之类的小说非常不同。大多数文学作品都有明确的主旨或者理念系统，唯独《西游记》是没有的。鲁迅《中国小说史略》提到对它有各种附会的解释，“或云劝学，或去谈禅，或云讲道，皆阐明理法，文词甚繁”，再往后，又曾有研究者认为它反映“农民起义”或“市民阶层斗争”，等等。但鲁迅只说它是“游戏之作”。《西游记》归根结底是一部神话小说，不是哲理、道德的寓言，不是有意把故事作为一种理性隐喻来写的。这部小说直接的创作目的，就是供人一娱，让人读得开心有趣而已。
但这并不意味着《西游记》没有思想。文学作品如果缺乏人生感悟和智慧，不可能取得伟大的成就。《西游记》当然也是有思想的作品，只是它的思想性和《红楼梦》之类不同，它处处有人生的智慧与感悟，却没有贯彻始终的人生理念，许多地方相互矛盾，作者也觉得无所谓。
比如孙悟空大闹天宫，被解读为反抗和斗争的典型，那么他一路取经，岂不是对前半段的`否定？在这里，作者写了两个相反的主题：一个是打破一切阻碍的自由自在的人生态度；另一个是顺合主流的正义行动。截然相反的两种主题在小说中并存。《西游记》中最大的角色冲突就是唐僧和猪八戒。唐僧代表着崇高的理想主义，而猪八戒是世俗的享乐主义。在猪八戒看来，崇高没有意义，生活就是活在当下。作者更主张谁的价值呢？没有。在书里，唐僧和猪八戒都带着几分可笑。唐僧取经的坚定令人佩服，但有时候也很烦人。猪八戒言行庸俗，但时不时又发现他很可爱。不知道读者注意到没有，唐僧也很自私的，晚上睡觉让猪八戒给他捂脚、提尿罐，猪八戒服侍得很辛苦。此外，庄严尊贵的神佛，在作者笔下也显得可笑。玉皇大帝懦弱、太白金星迂腐而故作聪明，观音菩萨欲借净瓶给孙悟空时，还怕他骗去不还，要他拔脑后的救命毫毛作抵押。阿傩、伽叶二尊者不肯“白手传经”，而如来堂而皇之地为这种行径辩护，说是“经不可轻传，亦不可空取”。这些“闲文”，表现出世俗欲念无所不在、人皆难免。
所以，《西游记》是有思想的，但它的思想并不固执和单一。仔细想想，这种态度难道不是很有意思吗？
解放观点：上世纪中期，人们对孙悟空的形象解读突出了反抗性和斗争性。上世纪90年代，周星驰的《大话西游》变为无厘头的搞笑和戏谑人生的定位。此外，日本动漫版的《西游记》更是后现代，天庭阴谋成为主线。此次新版《西游记》好坏暂且不论，但在台词上，也不乏暗示当代社会“拼爹”、“靠山”等种种乱象。《西游记》就像一个框，几乎什么都能往里面装。不同年代、不同版本，似乎从侧面呈现了当时的历史轨迹和价值演变。
骆玉明：我们对《西游记》的价值一直理解得不充分。它其实是一部“大小说”，其中融涵的民族文化元素，思想、情感和趣味，比一般的小说多得多。它想入非非，光怪陆离，却没有固定的、可以严格把握的主旨，所以自然可以进行无限演绎。作为趣味和游戏之作，《西游记》呈现了人生各种境遇和各种理念，彼此之间可能相互冲突，这正是它特别的地方，也是可以无限演绎的条件。想必对《西游记》的演绎永远不会终止。比如，站在猪八戒的立场上，就能把英雄主义和理想主义都解构掉。随着不同的人对小说理解不同，《西游记》完全能容忍创造性的发挥，这是它的特质。
《红楼梦》之类的名著改编，大家会关注对原著的演绎是否到位。但《西游记》并不存在严格意义上与原著贴近的问题。因为原著本来就结构松散，拥有广阔无比的包容性，能够带来不同的人生启发。
解放观点：演绎得好与不好，还是有个评价标准。撇开“贴近原著”的原则，我们对《西游记》的改编，究竟该怎么判断呢？
骆玉明：不是忠于原著，而是如何理解和体悟原著，从中发掘出东西来。比拼的是改编者的理解力、想象力达到什么程度。比如说，孙悟空既威风凛凛又滑稽可笑，而人生本来就是既可笑又可爱，世界本来就是既庄严又荒诞离奇的。《西游记》的改编，能否以自由的想象，表达丰富的人生感受，亦庄亦谐，让人生智慧和趣味、幽默混合起来？假设让一个思想笨拙的人来演，角色自然也会显得笨拙，这显然不是因为原著的缘故，而是演员和导演的问题了。
每一部经典作品都有自己的特点和地位。演绎时怎么把握它，让它和现代价值观融合，最后给人启发和感动，才是关键。恰当的结合，并不是把古代作品直接扭转为现代作品，而是古代作品里某些深刻的东西，是与人的现代价值相通的。古代人、(转载于:wWw.HnnsCY.cOM:
