可是快到元旦的时候朱克曼先生却准备把它***掉，这可让小猪着急了，它的年龄还很小，它不想死呀，它还没有朋友，后来它交到了一位朋友是一只名叫夏洛的蜘蛛，夏洛知道了朋友的烦恼下定决心要一心一意的帮助它，后来，夏洛在自己的网上根据不同的时间，地点织上了这几个字“王牌猪，了不起，光彩照人，谦卑。”这几个字，使威尔伯成为了一名全县文明的冠军猪，让它免于一死，可是就在这个时候，夏洛却去世了，它死在了从县城回来的路上，它死去的时候没有一个人陪在它的身边，威尔伯在它去世的时候伤心的哭了，它的救命恩人只有一个愿望让威尔伯把它的卵带回去，后来威尔伯和夏洛的女儿，孙女……都成了好朋友，但是它永远都忘不了夏洛，夏洛没有死而是永远在它的心中。
看完这本书我的泪再也无法停留在眼眶里了，我为这只帮助他人却不求回报的蜘蛛而流泪，我为这只珍惜友谊的小猪而流泪，一只小小的蜘蛛都能编织一张爱的网，我想我们在与朋友相处时也应该当一只“夏洛”去无私奉献，去帮助它人，当你接受了别人的帮助时你应该当一只“威尔伯”知道感恩，珍惜那来之不易的友谊，让我们共同努力，去学会帮助别人而不求回报，学会珍惜友谊，回报感恩。
