在古代，“博”是一种棋戏，后泛指赌博运动。当然，沿袭到现在，博饼不再有赌博的意味，而是成为厦门人中秋聚会的保留节目。当骰子在大瓷碗里落下，发出叮叮当当的清脆响声，当欢声笑语从人们的心底飘出，各个眼底洋溢着快乐的微笑时，那种其乐融融的感觉总是特别温馨。
关于厦门博饼的来源，历来有几种说法。现在流传最多的一则与郑成功有关。 据说郑成功收复台湾后，许许多多从大陆去台湾的官兵，思念家乡。每逢中秋佳节，思乡之情更是不可阻挡。郑成功为了冲淡官兵的乡愁，特请一位部将洪旭，设计出一套玩饼的游戏，让全体官兵在凉爽的中秋之夜欢快一博。郑成功亲自批准从农历十三至十八，前后6夜，军中按单双日轮流赏月博饼。
这独特的游戏，后逐渐在民间流传和改进，成为一种有趣的民俗活动。沿袭至今，成为厦门人中秋聚会的保留节目。
明月当空，亲朋好友欢聚一堂，欢声笑语间，自然应该再找寻一些开心的事来做。博饼当然是最有趣的。于是，大家或站或坐围在八仙桌旁，盯着大瓷碗，当骰子发出叮叮当当的响声，状元、榜眼、探花、进士、举人、秀才随之产生，每个人在“博”中寻找快乐，在笑声中感受浓浓的温馨。

（一）改写一般疑问句：
（1）原句中有be动词的，将be动词提前，其他顺序不变。
例如：Thisisacat.变为Isthisacat?
（2）原句中有情态动词的（can/may/shall/would）将情态动词提前，其他顺序不变。例如：Hewouldlikeapie.变为Wouldhelikeapie?
（3）原句中是一般动词的，在句首加助动词do或dose（用于主语是第三人称动词单数的句子），其他顺序不变。例如：Iplaytheguitar.变为Doyouplaytheguitar.
（4）原句中的some变any。
注：以情态动词开头的一般疑问句，并且要求对方做肯定回答的`some不变。
（5）原句中的第一人称改为第二人称。例如:Iamanurse.变为Areyouanurse?
（6）以dose开头的一般疑问句，原来动词的第三人称单数形式要变回原形。例如：Hereadsastorybook.变为Dosehereadastorybook?
（二）改写否定句：
（1）原句中有be动词的，直接在be动词后面加not。例如：Itisadog.→It’snotadog./Itisn’tadog.
（2）原句中有情态动词的，直接在情态动词后加not。
例如：Iwouldlikeahotdog.→Iwouldnotlikeahotdog.
（3）原句中是一般动词的，在一般动词前加don’t或doesn’t（用于主语是第三人称单数的句子），doesn’t后面用原型。例如：Iseethreehamburgers.→Idon’tseethreehamburgers.
原句中的some变any例如：Ihavesomebreadan
dmilk.→Idon’thaveanybreadandmilk.
（4）以let开头的祈使句，如果是letus或letme,直接在其后加not；如果let后面其他人称代词宾格（you、him、her、them、it）就在let后面加助动词don’t。例如：Letusgotothepark.→Letusnotgotothepark.再如：Letthemdohomework.→Don’tletthemdohomework.
（三）对划线部分提问：
对划线部分提问，就是先把一个陈述句的划线部分去掉，然后变为一个特殊疑问句：一是特殊疑问句+一般疑问句；
二是特殊疑问句+陈述句（对主语或主语的定语提问，therebe结构除外）
⑴划线部分是人，用who提问。
⑴划线部分是主语，用who提问，who后面的动词要用第三人称单数形式。如：Whois；Wholikes;Whohas?
方法：who+原句的剩余部分
例如：①HelenandMikearelisteningtomusic.
→Whoislisteningtomusic?
②Ihavesomemodelplanes.

⑵划线部分是表语，用who提问。
方法：Who+剩余部分的一般疑问句形式
⑵划线部分是事或者物，用what提问。

注：如果原句是therebe句型，直接用What’s+地点状语来提问。例如：①Wewouldliketobuysomethingsforaparty.

⑶划线部分是物主代词或名词所有格，用Whose提问。
方法：⑴划线部分是主语的定语时，Whose+剩余部分
例如：Ourclassroomisbright.
→Whoseclassroomisbright?
⑵划线部分是表语或表语的定语时，Whose+剩余部分的一般疑问句形式例如：①ThewomanisSuYang’steacher.
→Whoseteacheristhewoman?
注：对某部分的定语提问，被修饰的部分跟随特殊疑问句往前提②ThispurseisYangLing’s.
→Whosepurseisthis?
⑷划线部分是地点，用where提问。
方法：where+剩余部分的一般疑问句形式

⑸划线部分是“多少”，用howmany或howmuch提问。
方法：⑴句中是可数名词的用Howmany+剩余部分的一般疑问句形式例如：Therearefifteentreesintheplayground.

⑵句中是不可数名词的用Howmuch+剩余部分的一般疑问句形式例如：Ihaveaglassofjuiceforbreakfast.

⑹划线部分是时间，用when或whattime（具体的几时几分）提问。方法：⑴when+剩余部分的一般疑问句形式

厦门博饼，讲究的就是一个开心，是博一个好兆头，大多数人都愿意相信，博中状元的人，一年运气总是会特别好，这当然是因为博饼活动里倾注了人们的感情寄托。所以，厦门人总是对中秋节格外重视，甚至有“小春节，大中秋”的说法。
厦门博饼规则1状元插金花。可得状元和两个对堂，不被追缴，此所谓的不被追缴就是直接拿到最大奖。那个最大奖就属于你了。
2六勃红。可得整的会饼，不能追缴状元插花所得。此意味着博饼就此结束，除了大奖外，可获得未被博取的饼。
3遍地锦。甩六个幺花，只得桌上所剩之饼。
4六勃黑。二三五六都是六勃黑，即桌上的奖品大家分，博饼就此结束。
5五红，带六最大，带幺最小。
6五子带一秀。可得秀才一个，再看谁的点数最大得状元。
7五子。二三五六都是，带点大的胜。
8状元。带十二点最大，三点最小。(此处解释一下，1到8步骤都属于状元级别，但是从大到小而排，如果A先摇到了状元，B后摇到了五子。那么A的大奖就属于B的了。
9对堂。可得对堂一个。
10三红。可得三红一个。
11四进带二举。可得四进一个再得二举一个。
12四进带一秀。可得四进一个再得一秀一个。
13四进，可得四进一个。
14二举，可得二举一个。
15一秀，可得一秀一个。
16罚黑。无对堂、四进、五子、又无红四即罚黑，不可得饼。
厦门博饼规则事项说明1状元饼只有一个，反正谁大就归谁。2在会饼没有全部得出归属前，游戏继续，若某种会饼已经分完，则可采用“追”的方式，这是最刺激的，即后来获得者向自己前一个获得者追饼。比如三红饼已经分完，若还有人博到，则此人按游戏进行的反方向向离自己最近的一个三红饼获得者拿回奖品。3六抔红、六抔黑是否采用，一般依照大家意愿，很多时候，为了照顾玩家都能获得奖品，这两种情形就忽略了，更重要的是，很少有人能投出“六抔红”或是“六抔黑”。除非运气真的比较差了4如博到状元插金花可兼得还未被博取的对堂，若该选手在以后的轮次中“禄骨”[注]，对堂不被追回，只追回状元。5在同一场比赛中，同一选手两次或两次以上博到状元，取其最后一次的成绩为最终成绩。6如果骰子跳出大碗，则该选手本轮成绩无效且要轮空一次

The fox, filled with arrogance, examined the cat from head to feet, and for a long time did not know whether he should give an answer. At last he said, "Oh, you poor beard-licker, you speckled fool, you hungry mouse hunter, what are you thinking? Have you the nerve to ask how I am doing? What do you know? How many tricks do you understand?"
"I understand but one," answered the cat, modestly.
"What kind of a trick is it?" asked the fox.
"When the dogs are chasing me, I can jump into a tree and save myself."
"Is that all?" said the fox. "I am master of a hundred tricks, and in addition to that I have a sackful of cunning. I feel sorry for you. Come with me, and I will teach you how one escapes from the dogs."
Just then a hunter came by with four dogs. The cat jumped nimbly up a tree, and sat down at its top, where the branches and foliage completely hid her.
"Untie your sack, Mr. Fox, untie your sack," the cat shouted to him, but the dogs had already seized him, and were holding him fast.
"Oh, Mr. Fox," shouted the cat. "You and your hundred tricks are left in the lurch. If you been able to climb like I can, you would not have lost your life."

就在这时，猎人带着四条狗走近了。猫敏捷地窜到一棵树上，在树顶上蹲伏下来，茂密的树叶把它遮挡得严严实实。
“快打开你的计谋口袋，狐狸先生，快打开呀!”猫冲着狐狸喊道。可是猎狗已经将狐狸扑倒咬住了。“哎呀，狐狸先生，”猫喊道，“你的千百种本领就这么给扔掉了!假如你能像我一样爬树就不至於丢了性命了!”
