文章讲的是：小作者做了一个梦，梦见他长大以后在火星上开了个医院。有一次，遇见了地球来求医，发现地球身上千疮百孔、伤痕累累，后来一阵闹铃把他拉回了现实，他想告诉我们：要好好地保护地球！
我读了以后，发现我们给地球的伤害太多了，有些人在利益的驱使下，做了许多伤害地球的事情，砍伐树木，污染环境，浪费资源……而这一切都使地球在哭泣！
如果我们不再破坏地球的“卫士”——森林，那我们就不用担心沙尘暴，也不用担心空气不够新鲜。鸟儿们也不用被迫“搬家”了。我们应该改变我们的生活习惯了：不用一次性筷子；不用纸巾，用手帕……人人改变一小步，地球改变一大步，到时地球肯定又能恢复到以前的绿色星球了。
如今，地球的淡水资源是有限的，当工厂的废水排出到河流时，这意味着我们的淡水资源将变得越来越少了。我们可以建一个废水转化装置，把所有的废水转化成对人体无害的淡水再排出，这样地球上最后一滴干净的水将不会是我们的眼泪！
如果不乱砍伐树木，如果不乱排废水，如果不乱用能源，如果……什么时侯，这些如果能变为现实，那该有多好啊！然而，这不是一个人能办到的，而是需要我们全球人民共同努力才能实现的！

人口的快速增长，是地球表面可耕种面积越来越少，严重缺乏淡水。而现在的人口增长迅速，如果按照这样的情况下去，地球总有一天会应承受不住而累垮的！在说了人口的快速增长，使全球的气温急剧上升，所以我们要控制人口的增长，实行计划生育。
而人类的大量砍伐，使得一些地方植被极少，很容易发生洪灾、沙尘暴、泥石流、山体滑坡等一些重大危害，那人们的伤亡肯定会很严重，所以我们还应该多植树造林，减少一些可以避免的危害，如：泥石流、山体滑坡等一些危害，树木的减少，会使二氧化碳增多，氧气减少，使我们不能呼吸新鲜的空气。此外，我们还应该大力宣传有关保护地球的知识，使人们对这一方面更加重视。
然而，化学用品的滥用，不仅污染了空气，对人们的生活起居也带来了不便。如果，河水被污染，会使很多的鱼儿失去珍贵的生命；如果农田里的.庄稼被污染，那会使那年的产量大大减产；如果大量使用农药，使严重缺乏淡水的地球会更加不堪重负。
