A man walking in the night slipped from a rock. Afraid that he would fall down thousands of feet, because he knew that place was a very deep valley, he took hold of a branch that was hanging over the rock. In the night all he couls see was a bottomless abyss. He shouted, his own shout reflected back--there was nobody to hear.
You can imagine that man and his whole night of scare. Every moment there was death, his hands were becoming cold, he was losing his gripand as the sun came out he looked down and he laughed. There was no abyss. Just six inches down there was a rock. He could have rested the whole night, slept well---the rock was big enough---but the whole night was a nightmare.
Fear is only six inches deep. Now it is up to you whether you want to go on cling to the branch and turn your life into a nightmare, or whether you would love to leave the branch and stand on your feet.
There is nothing to fear.

尊敬的老师，亲爱的同学们：
大家好！
让我敬佩的人像天上的星星，数也数不清，其中让我最敬佩的要数我的爸爸了。
我的爸爸高高的个子，白皙的皮肤，乌黑的头发，显得炯炯有神的眼睛，小巧的鼻子，不善言辞的嘴巴。爸爸平时工作很忙，不能经常陪我做功课，但是，一有空他总是关心我。不过，他和别的家长不一样。爸爸不会逼我学习，全靠我自己自觉。他很少批评我，经常鼓励我。尤其是我考砸的时候，我很难受，这时候，他总是安慰我，帮我找没有考好的原因，希望我下次努力。有了这样的安慰，让我感到比什么都温暖。
爸爸敬业精神也值得我学习。爸爸对工作认真、负责，经常起早贪黑。凌晨四五点就去上班了，晚上很晚才回来。从没有什么怨言，反而把工作当做了一种乐趣。
我很感谢老天爷让我做他爸爸的女儿，如果有机会，我下辈子还做爸爸的女儿，我敬佩我的爸爸。

大家好！
在我认识的人中，有很多人我都很敬佩，要说我最敬佩的只有爷爷了。我的爷爷是位医生，他身上有去多值得我学习的地方，而他最闪光的品质就是对工作的无限热爱，这也是我最佩服爷爷的地方。
爷爷退休后，家人都想让她在家里颐养天年，可他就是闲不住。他说：“我虽然退下来了，可业务从没搁下，毕竟我已有几十年的经验，还是让我发挥点余热吧！”于是我们家的家庭诊所开张了。很快有许多人慕名而来，前来找他看病的人络绎不绝，锦旗、奖状布满了整个诊所，而爷爷的身体却日渐消瘦，家人看了都很心疼，可爷爷的精神还是那么饱满，满眼是兴奋的光芒。
一天，我去给爷爷送饭，看到一个病人正紧紧的握着爷爷的手，激动地说些千恩万谢的话，脸上的病容完全被微笑所掩盖。等病人走后，我好奇的问爷爷：“你们说什么呢？他怎么那么激动呀？”爷爷悄悄告诉我：“没什么，我知道他家里不富裕，没收他诊金。”我纳闷的问：“看您乐的都合不上嘴了，原来是没收钱啊！”爷爷用手抚摸着他那张旧办工作，深情地对我说：“孩子，你知道一个医生最大的满足是什么吗？”我摇摇头。“是看到病人那充满希望的微笑啊！”爷爷说。我点了点头，略有所悟，这就是爷爷崇高的医德吧！
晚上，我推开爷爷诊所的房门，看到爷爷正在办工作前研究理论，我心里不由得涌出一股强烈的对爷爷的敬佩之情。我暗下决心：将来一定要向爷爷一样，做一个能为他人带来希望和幸福的人！
