这场战争困难重重，那些年轻的志愿者要爬过高高的雪山，那里的温度最低达到零下三四十度，他们穿着单薄的衣服，每天都要走几十公里。他们没有精良的武器装备，但是他们要和美军的飞机、大炮、坦克打仗。他们每天只能吃一个土豆，还要剩几个给伤员吃，美国军人却在自己那舒适又温暖的阵地里过着圣诞节，吃着烤鸡肉。
电影里有个画面令我印象深刻：
当美军以几十辆坦克与十几架飞机进行冲锋时，一个中国军人杨根思抱起一个正在燃烧的炸药包，冲向我们的敌人，与一些敌人同归于尽。他为了完成任务，不惜牺牲自己的生命。
最后，我们的志愿军战胜了美军。我要向他们学习这种热爱祖国、不怕牺牲、勇往直前的精神。我们还要珍惜现在的幸福生活，因为这是用他们的牺牲换来的。

宋世轮的第九兵团因任务乘火车奔赴前线，刚探完亲的七连伍连长，也是迅速归队。火车在路途中，被敌机发现，战士们只能弃车步行，火车轨道全被炸毁。在战场上，美军占有绝对的制空权，一下子成群结队的飞机一齐飞来，落下的炸弹真跟下雨一样，地面上爆起无数个黑色蘑菇云，战场上一下子寸草不生，黑漆漆一片，简直是人间地狱。电影中也有很多美军和我国战士对比的场景，不仅装备差距很大，连食物也是完全不一样，美军在座位上吃各种美食，我国战士却在冰天雪地的地方吃着黑小的土豆。***之子毛岸英向彭德怀申请参军时说：“千千万万父母的子女都到了战场上去，我毛岸英有什么理由不去。”但在敌人空袭的时候，毛岸英为了拿一幅地图牺牲在了敌人的炮火之中。
“我们这一代打仗，就是为了下一代不带打仗。”这句话让我印象深刻，再次被先辈们感动，在总攻的时候，密密麻麻的战士们拼命的向前冲，一个接一个的倒下，用牺牲换来了总攻的胜利，有一个镜头是有只队伍隐蔽在敌人车队的道路上，但敌人撤退的速度太慢，那就队伍先冻死在了那片土地上，战士们都成了冰雕，但仍然摆在战斗的姿势，这也表示了战士们的坚定决心。
《长津湖》这个电影再次刷新了我对战争的认知，战争是残酷的，在战场上，人人随时都有可能牺牲，但为了后代们的美好生活，他们用自己的生命去换取胜利。学习先辈们的伟大精神，挣脱束缚自己的蛋壳，成为一只雄鹰。
