夏天，我最喜爱的季节就是夏天了，夏天有着丽的景色，那就是特别的景色——荷花。
每年暑假，我都会去看荷花。去年夏天，听说莲花开了，我又去看荷花。来到池塘边，放眼望去，自然而然地就会想起杨万里的诗句：接天莲叶无穷碧，映日荷花别样红。满池的碧绿，一层又一层密密麻麻的荷叶中冒出一朵朵清新的荷花，犹如众星拱月一般，美极了。一朵朵荷花亭亭玉立，有的尽情盛开，随风起舞;有的含苞待放，却又不失优雅。看吧，有蜻蜓呢，正在半开半合的莲花上轻盈的跳着芭蕾舞，真是“小荷才露尖尖角，早有蜻蜓立上头”呀!在我的身前就有一朵盛开的荷花，凑近一看，花瓣白中带粉，粉里泛红，无比晶莹，堪称白璧无瑕，一股股淡淡的幽香若有若无，沁人心脾，看着这迷人的莲花，会令人不由自主得心生怜惜之情，使你不忍采摘。我觉得，只有荷花开在莲叶中间，只有满塘荷花一齐开放，那才显得出真正的美。
它真美!远看如霞似雪;近看，似画如诗;远看或近看，都是大千世界的生命中的一面高贵的旗帜!它不仅是一面高贵的旗帜，同时也是我们所有人想拥有的品质，是我们所向往的那种品质，这种品质可以让人变得更有魅力，让人更有信心。
