本赛季的英超联赛是十分精彩的，先是利物浦做上了领头羊的宝座，接着是阿森纳遥遥领先排在榜首，一直到了最后几轮，最后曼联后来居上，获得了英超联赛的冠军！在这一过程中足以看出利物浦与阿森纳队后劲不足才会被曼联超过，先说利物浦吧，他们在英超联赛开赛时状态奇佳，保持了十八轮不败的佳绩，可是到了第十九轮的英超联赛，他们被热刺队战胜后，再也恢复不到联赛刚开赛时的\'良好状态，一路滑向了联赛第七和地八位，离降级圈越来越近，还好他们终于走出了九轮不胜的阴影，艰难地拿到了一张欧洲联盟杯的入场券。而阿森纳队，就在利物浦九轮不胜的时候追了上来，将自己与其他球队联赛积分拉大了十几分。但是，阿森纳队在最后几轮的联赛中表现的十分平庸，逐渐的被曼联的拉小了差距，在决定冠军的一场比赛，阿森纳被在降级圈里苦苦保级的西翰姆队3：2击败了，与冠军无缘。而另一方面，曼联则以4：1的大比分战胜了查尔顿队，获得了冠军，总的来说，这赛季的英超几支强对缺少后劲，才与冠军无缘的。
再说说西甲联赛吧，西甲联赛中，巴塞罗纳队一开始状态就十分平庸了，连战连败，一下子就落后了积分领先的球队，而上届的西甲联赛中还在苦苦保级的皇家社会队，这赛季的状态实在是令人刮目相看，而皇家马德里的刚开赛的状态就另人十分担心了，球迷们十分害怕他们也向令一个强队巴塞罗纳那样，可皇家马德里并没有让球迷们失望，在联赛最后几轮时，他们表现了强大的实力，逼近了与皇家社会队的积分差距，并在联赛倒数第第二轮以两分的优势超过了皇家社会，在最后一轮中皇家马德里以3：1战胜了毕尔巴鄂竞技队，捧起了西甲冠军的奖杯。总的来说皇家马德里在本赛季显示出了王者风范，正是这样他们才能获得西甲的冠军。
至于德甲、意甲，老牌强队提前几轮就获得了冠军，法甲也是由卫冕冠军里昂队夺冠，没有太大的悬念。
