In my life I have met a great many people who are really worth recalling. But perhaps the most unforgettable person I ever know is my English teacher.
What frequently brings back memories of my school teacher is his special qualities. First and foremost, he gave us the greatest gift a teacher can offeran awakening of a passion for learning. He not only led us to an appreciation of the beauty and perfection of English language and literature, but also aroused our great interest in exploring something deeper in this field. Furthermore, I was attracted by his lively wit. I remember that we students always anticipated his class with great eagerness because his lecture were humorously delivered, never failing to provoke chuckles or loud laughs.

Dear all,
I am writing this letter to express my gratitude to my parents for teaching me to be positive and to be strong. “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” is the opinion held by Aristotle. It is the experience of our forefathers, however, it is correct even today, including my parenting.
It is widely acknowledged that parenting, which can also be explained as family education, is of great significance in our character forming and manner acquiring. To be more detailed, setting good examples instead of just giving precepts is the greatest achievement of my parents. They not only taught me to think for the best and prepare for the worst; they taught me how. They not only told me the benefits of being strong in mind; they proved it. All those things require huge amount of time and work, but it’s worth it.
Without my parents’ contribution and education, I would never be who I am now. But most importantly, I would never be more gratitude to them than today.

很幸运，我出生在美丽的千岛湖畔，四五岁就时不时跟着外公外婆荡舟湖上去放网抓鱼，也许是“近水楼台先得月”，从那时我就爱上了这方碧蓝的千岛湖，爱上了抓鱼。外婆住在一个湖边的普通小渔村，村民只有三十来户，姓氏却不同，甚至逢年过节各家习惯还 略有不同。太外公在世的时候常跟我唠叨：我们村跟千岛湖的年龄是相同的。从前啊，我们都不住这，我们的村子在梅峰脚下，那时叫梅峰公社，后来国家造新安江水库，原来的家都被水淹没了，大部分移民都去了很远的地方。只有我们几家后靠到这，几户人家只背着些破破烂烂的几个包袱，什么也没有。没办法，大家一起动手，搭建了几间泥房。挖开了周边的山地种菜，可没有平地，造不了田。眼前除了水还 是水，那一段时间，实在太苦，可又没办法。后来只得伐木打舟，勾线织网，开始学着在湖里抓鱼捞生活。渐渐地，大家的生活才安定下来，小小村庄也成了渔村。
后来我也从老爸口中知道，那是千岛湖形成伊始，淳安、遂安两县29万人大移民的历史——为了新中国自主建设的第一座大型水电站——新安江水电站的建设，家乡29万祖祖辈辈生活在这片土地上父老乡亲背井离乡，迁往他处。还 有许多如太外公他们一样，放弃肥硕的.田地，便利的交通，后靠到闭塞的山旮旯里。
而今天，新安江水库也在新时代的淳安人手中变成了举世瞩目的旅游胜地——千岛湖，不仅山青水秀，空气怡人，更是成为了休闲度假胜地，中国水业基地，生态宜居福地，都市农业园地，文明和谐境地。更喜人的是千岛湖大桥的建成终于使各个山村与美丽的千岛湖镇有了陆路连通，环湖公路使闭塞的小渔村，不再只依赖小渔船出行了，成为了交通便利的风情小镇，出现了农家乐，休闲的游客络绎不绝，外婆那个小渔村也不例外。
可我仍然喜欢抓鱼，每回去外婆家，还 缠着外婆去放网，不仅是一种乐趣，也是一种回忆，更是一种梦想——我喜欢做渔民，喜欢美丽的千岛湖，喜欢在这滢滢的湖水中植入自己梦想的种子，守护青山绿水，守护几代千岛湖人用付出换来的纯净、绿色和美丽。
每天清晨，当第一缕金灿灿的陽光投射到千岛湖湖面上时，水面荡起的如金色鱼鳞般的波光！我伫立湖边，沐浴在这片晨光中，我多么想驾着自己的小渔船，穿梭在千岛湖上，轻轻把这美景尽收眼底，尽揽心间。
为了家乡美丽的明天，我愿留在她的身边，做一个千岛湖小渔民，守护蓝天秀湖，守护那漫漫远迁的有着熟悉乡音的29万大移民心灵的绿洲，心中的温暖回忆。

Dear my father and mother,
This letter is my inner feelings. I want to thank both of you for so many years’ care and help.
During my growth, you have made a lot of efforts and love for me. When I make a success, both of you are more excited than me, and support me to do better. Even though I have failed, you always share sorrow with me and encourage me not to give up. Especially, during my preparation for CET-4, the support from you is always everywhere. I have passed the exam successfully.
You love is so unselfish that I am deeply affected, so I will study hard to be a useful person and won’t make you disappointed. Anyway, I would like to express the deep gratitude to you.
