I am an 18-year old middle school student. I have been busy with my study and seldom helped my parents with the housework. Feeling quite sorry for that,I begin to think about what to do to help.
Last Sunday, when my parents went out shopping,I suddenly got an idea: why not give the rooms a thorough cleaning? Firstly I collected all the books,newspapers and other things scattered in the rooms and put them in place. Then I wiped the dust off all the furniture. After that,I swept and mopped the floors.

今天是8月8日，是全民健身日。为了纪念北京奥运会成功举办一周年，平顶山市举行了全民健身快乐跑。我和妈妈也参加了这次健康跑步。
一大早，我和妈妈穿上大山外语学校为我们发的运动T恤衫，乘车来到了光明路与建设路的交叉路口的街心花园。我们到的时候路边已经排起了长长的队伍，我和妈妈站在了大山外语学校的行列。
队伍排得越来越长，人越来越多，街心公园的路边人山人海，成了一个人的海洋，欢乐的世界，一张张笑脸都期待着跑步的开始。
在全民健身日里，交通警察叔叔为我们开辟了一条健康跑专道，宽阔的马路上没有一辆车和行人。交警叔叔三步一哨，五步一岗，为我们的跑步创造了优越的条件。
跑步开始了，我们挥舞着旗帜，随着人流慢慢跑起来，我兴奋得喊着口号：“我健康，我快乐!”天公真是作美，太阳公公躲在了云层后面，微风轻轻地吹拂着，路边朴实无华的.梧桐为我们欢呼、加油。
几分钟后，队伍拉开了距离，我拉着妈妈的手奋力往前跑去，汗顺着我的脸颊流了下来，妈妈也是满面通红，汗流浃背。经过我们的奋力拼搏，很快冲到了队伍的前列，回头看一下后面的队伍，煞是壮观，一条长长的队伍望不到头，大家都穿着统一的T恤衫，很是整齐和美观。
一位爷爷拉着小孙子的手一刻也不停歇地往前跑着，嘴里还对孩子说着：“慢慢跑，别着急，坚持就是胜利!”
半个多小时后，大家都跑到了终点站——新华路口，无论男女老少，一张张脸都是红光满面。
