随后，孙子又给调动炮、马、车要进攻的时候，爷爷说：“你可要小心你的大本营呀！”可是，孙子根本就不听，迅速进攻，双“车”、双“马”单“炮”直奔爷爷的大本营，真是韩信用兵，多多益善。他用“车”拿下爷爷的双“马”、单“炮”，可孙子的双“马”、单“炮”也牺牲了，这时爷爷还是镇定自若的'神态，可孙子丢了几员大将，却慌了手脚，乱了分寸，局面棋子像散兵一样，爷爷很快吃掉了孙子的“车”，用“小炮”把孙子的“将”轰死了。孙子输了，爷爷看着垂头丧气的孙子说：“下棋要动脑，要有耐心，不能只看局部，要顾全大局！”孙子听了爷爷的教导，收获颇丰。
通过这一次象棋比赛，让孙子懂得了：做事要有耐心，不能浮躁，还懂得了骄兵必败，否则大意失荆州啊！
