我们学校有一位教我们年级的英语老师——下课我们班总有些忍吐诉她的恶行：“她那么偏心2班的，烦死了，布置那么多作业……”总之，她在我们班的同学看来，都不是什么“好老师”。
嘈杂声再一次影响到她的课堂，只见两位同学在课上互相对骂，她很生气，两眼紧盯闹事的家伙，一言不发。然后，摔书走人。
班长去让“闹事的”道歉。他们去后，回来“报信”，说：“老师说要写保证书，全班签名，要不她不上课了。”听后，个个同学称不合理——这年轻老师够倔的，别的老师上课怎么不会这样，自己不“反省”一下。
下午，老师进来了，双眉紧皱，说：“还玩！再不保证我不给你们上课了，不用写作业了，你们自由了！”然后气冲冲地走，长发在风中显得格外凌乱。
第二天早上，养育课代表的桌上只有一张纸，老师又过来了，一把拿过“保证书”又转身走人……
下午，她又进来了。只不过看起来没那么生气了。她打开投影，缓缓地说：“看过你们的保证书，我觉得很可笑。”全班肃静，但大家还有些愤愤不平。“通过“课堂事件”，我想了很久，是我太严厉了吗？或许是，可能古板的课堂你们并不喜欢。”老师眼里闪着泪花，“还有“保证书”，我看了，第一，你们说如果不听讲，没有很高的效率，就用副科的课来上。还有别的——我没有那么多时间去弥补你们课堂的不足。我对你们只有一个要求：心到……”她说了很久，时间停住了，凝固在沙漏的一边。有的同学哭了，老师们背后的故事令我们惭愧。所有老师其实都好，她们同样爱着这群眼前的孩子，只是表达方式不一样。其实老师她在我们背后说她时，不知掉了多少眼泪……
黑夜，办公室，在4楼的某处还有开一盏灯，一位老师在办公桌上，睡了……
