“凿冰捕鱼”主要介绍了鱼把头石大爷率领渔民在东北查干湖获得“自然的馈赠”的经过。所谓“凿冰捕鱼”就是在冰上打个洞，将绞盘固定在冰面上，通过牲口的拉力，将长达2千米的渔网放下去。至于放在什么地方，全凭鱼把头的丰富做出准确判断。定位不准，就捕不到鱼群。鱼把头石大爷从15岁起到现在77岁，一直“没离水，没离鱼”，积累了丰富的经验，在渔民中有很高的`威信。
这次“凿冰捕鱼”，天气极冷，寒风嗖嗖，石大爷穿上了羊皮袄，戴上了狗皮帽。这样的低温，鱼群会在冰下聚集不动，如定位不准，就捕不到鱼群，一无所获。五匹马儿在不断地围绕着一个绞盘奔跑，渔网缓缓地放入冰下水中，渔民们各自干着活，不讲话，焦虑和紧张弥漫在冰面上。网在冰下走了8个小时，终于到了收网的时候，令人感慨的一幕发生了，一条条肥大的鲢子鱼在渔网里拼命地跳动着、挣扎着，渔民们的脸上洋溢着欢乐的笑容。值得注意的细节是，捕上来的鱼每条重量都在2公斤以上，没有一条小鱼，这个秘密只有鱼把头知道，这是查干湖渔民心口相传的严格规定，冬季的渔网是6寸的网眼，未成年的小鱼被人为地漏掉，所谓“猎***不绝”讲的就是这个道理。被上天厚爱的人群，又一次获得了馈赠。
观看了这个纪实片段，我深有感触。在什么地方凿冰放网，是能不能补到鱼群的关键，这完全取决于鱼把头石大爷丰富的实践经验。那么，石大爷的经验是哪里来的呢？60多年的辛勤劳动不断总结来的，这是他作出准确定位的保证，否则，就不可能延续自然的馈赠。我们学习同样如此，平时多读书、多练习、多积累，才不会“书到用时方恨少”。“聪明在于学习，知识在于积累”，我要牢记并践行这个真理。
