《淬火成钢》这样大型历史题材电视剧，除了要有优秀的演员之外，一定要有一位出色的导演。他对每一个战争场面或是打斗的镜头的把控关系了整部戏的精彩程度。刘耿维在该部戏中担任B组导演，这部戏收官之际获得了网友的一致好评，这些跟导演刘耿维息息相关的。刘耿维，中国内地导演，动作导演。毕业于湖北艺术学院 1984年2月22出生于山东省临沂市。他曾在电视剧《暗战2013》、《老爸太囧》、《战金岭》，电影《新步步惊心》、《爱+100年》、《义勇军魂》担任动作导演，也曾在影视作品《突袭格斗》《淬火成钢》《老漂》担任导演。
刘耿维出生于山东省临沂市郯城县，他从小习武，进入体校四年后担任武术队队长，考北京体育大学时退学报考湖北艺术学院本科，毕业后踏入娱乐圈，经过自己的努力从演员到动作指导，从动作导演到导演，这十几年来经历了风风雨雨。刘耿维能有今天的成绩源于他对影视的热爱与锲而不舍，坚持至今。在《淬火成钢》中，刘耿维对于剧中的每个镜头精益求精，严格要求，演员在现场拍摄也惊呼过瘾。
