读了《名人故事》后我了解了许多不认识的名人。他们刻苦的学习和顽强的探索的精神深深的刻在我的脑海中。
这是一本讲述中外名人小故事的书。有伟大的孔子，修建长城的秦始皇，古代诗人李白，外国著名的发明家爱迪生，丹麦作家安徒生等许多名人。其中有我一个最喜欢的科学家发现万有引力定律的牛顿。牛顿的天才和伟大是很难用语言来形容的。苹果如果砸在我们头上，我们可能会一怒之下把它抛的远远的，或是一口把它吃掉，但是牛顿却没有，他想了想为什么苹果不往上飞，而是往下砸。然而这个苹果让他发现了万有引力的定律。牛顿是一个科学巨人，但他很谦虚，他说：”自己只是一个在科学大海上捡贝壳的孩子。如果自己比别人高，也是站在巨人的肩上。“
自从我读了《名人故事》后发现，这些名人都是仔细观察，发现奥秘后，才赢来的成果。在学习和生活中，因为我们常常受一点挫折就放弃，所以我们要向他们一样有着坚持不懈的精神去迎接挑战。
