曾子***猪的故事说明了诚信尤其重要。曾子的妻子赶着去赶集，曾子的儿子也要跟随母亲，妻子说：“假如你今天乖乖听话，跟爹爹留在家里，娘回来后就让爹爹***猪给你吃。”说完，便匆匆离开了。妻子赶集回来后，曾子便去了猪圈把猪带了出来，妻子赶忙走过去，问其原因。曾子说：“做人要守信用，你离家时，便承诺孩子待你回来后***猪予他。现在可不能反悔，孩子还在看着，你要给他树立一个诚实榜样。”于是，妻子不再阻拦，曾子的儿子吃到了猪肉，乐呵呵的。诚信是做人的基本，给孩子树立榜样就要从最基本的出发——诚信。
古时候有一位国王，他一生孤独，无儿无女，大好江山无人继承。于是他决定从他的义子中挑选一名。国王就给每位义子发了一颗种子，让他们好好地培植一年，一年后把成果拿回给他鉴定。义子们便精心培养了他们的种子。一年后，他们的种子都长出了美美的.植物，唯独最后一个义子满年痛苦地说：“父王，我也是精心照顾了种子，可为什么它就是不发芽呢？”国王一听，拍手叫好：“傻孩子，这怎么会发芽呢？这些都是炒熟了的种子啊！”从此之后，这位诚实的义子就当上了国王。诚信是做人的基本。诚信可以使人铸造成功。
当今社会，诚信那么重要，假如每个人都可以互相诚信，那么这个世界就不会有那么多的“病毒”，就不会有那么多的人祸，就不会出现那么多的倒地老人不敢扶的事件，就不会有那么多不愉快的事情，那个中国留德博士生就不会找不到工作。
诚信是做人的基本，人与人之间需要诚信，父母与孩子之间需要诚信，上司与下属之间需要诚信······可见，诚信是那么的重要啊！
