她的生活简单、安静，若干年在异乡的独自漂泊和打拼，她做到了企业的管理层。她已经习惯了把什么事情都化繁为简，不仅是工作，也包括生活。比如吃饭，她总能非常简便而又有营养的搞定三餐；比如交友，她绝不滥交，三言两语能谈得来的自然就做了朋友，谈不来的就止于点头招呼而已。对于工作上需要涉及的人事她也能面面俱到，但是绝不浪费自己的时间和感情在无谓的人事上。空余的时间她情愿按照自己的喜好随心安排，即便是独自一人享受孤独，她也绝不愿意做无谓应酬。因此，工作上得心应手，也有自己的知交好友和业余爱好，她很满足。

他少年时便失去了父母的关照，独自一人从家乡漂泊到陌生的城市求学谋生。他尝遍了人世的艰辛，也习惯了面对各种不同的人，隐藏内心的情绪并独自面对。在孤立无援的世界里，他认为每一个经过的人都可能是自己的救星，他需要所有人记住他。于是，他的电话总是响个不停，似乎随时都处于待命状态，任何人都可以随时一个电话叫走他。

他常常深夜归家，她等他常常到深夜。很快她就发现他们的`生活频率严重不和谐，她常态的秩序被打乱了，就好像每天都在倒时差一样，她开始要求，开始抱怨；他每次都说对不起，但是依然深夜归家，甚至很晚了一个电话打来又出去了，回来时已是凌晨。有一次她终于歇斯底里爆发了，把他关在门外半个多小时不给他开门，并最后通牒，如果半夜后才能回家就请自便，不要打扰别人休息。他说他已经习惯了这样生活，除此之外并不做更多解释。
