他就是百花影帝张涵予，家喻户晓的大牌明星演员，但是为人鲜知的是他在做演员之前是一名配音演员。
作为中央戏剧学院表演系毕业的高材生，张涵予有着强烈的演员梦。偶然一个机会，他所配的一段音被央视领导所青睐，让他去央视试音，自此他开始了长达十多年的配音生涯。
伴随我们长大的《米老鼠和唐老鸭》中的唐老鸭先生，那个能降魔伏怪的《孙悟空》的悟空，还有家喻户晓的女扮男装的《花木兰》，这一个个栩栩如生的动画，再加上张涵予那配的惟妙惟肖的声音，成了那个年代孩子的福音。可是从来没有忘记心中的演员梦，他不甘心只做幕后的“棚虫”.于是他一边承接着各种配音的工作，一边利用空余时间心甘情愿演出一些不知名的角色。
让张涵予搭上通往演员之梦的桥是出演《梦开始的地方》，他跟陶虹配戏，他出演的宋建军，有一副磁性的男人声音，仿佛是一根来自心灵深处、尘封已久的琴弦，深深撩拨着观众那柔软的心。他的演艺得到了导演和同事的一致好评，也让张涵予更加坚定了自己的演员梦。
从此，他不断向各个导演毛遂自荐，可是大牌导演只认定他的配音，却并不看好他的演技。直到有一天，大牌导演冯小刚请他客串《没玩没了》中的一个小角色，不过人们还只是记得电影中的主角傅彪，却没人留意傅彪身边的一个朋友，而那个小角色正是由张涵予饰演。虽然角色小，但是能在大导演的电影中出演，张涵予不敢小觑，非常忘我的投入。这种对工作兢兢业业的`精神以及对剧情的领悟和演绎能力给冯小刚留下了深刻的印象。
可是跑龙套的角色做的时间长了，难免让张涵予对自己产生了困惑。这时，身边的一位老演员告诉张涵予：“一个人要实现梦想，不管做任何事都要比别人多付出10%,等累计到100%时，梦想自然就能实现。”
之后，张涵予不管是什么角色，都严格要求自己多付出10%,就这样他打破了冯小刚甄选演员的“铁打的葛优流水的女主角”的潜规则，让冯小刚最终把《集结号》的主角“谷子地”锁定到他身上。影片中的“谷子地”坚毅、不屈不饶，非常有男人味。张涵予因出演“谷子地”而一炮走红，一举成为五科影帝。
就如张涵予自己所说：“正是因为之前出演各种小角色的积累，使得我能接触到各种风格的剧本，领悟各类人物的感情。在跑龙套的日子，我总要求自己比导演要求的再多付出一点，日积月累之后，让我从一个‘棚虫’实现了华丽转身。”只比别人多努力10%,就会离梦想更近一点。
