五莲山位于鲁东南沿海城市日照五莲县东南，东邻避暑胜地青岛130公里，北距中国风筝城潍坊110公里，五莲山风景名胜区属温带半湿润海洋性气候，平均气温12.6℃，冬暖夏凉，气候宜人，雨量充沛。境内气候温和，特产丰富，山清水秀，河川纵横，素有台湾花莲，山东五莲之美誉。
五莲山远远望去蜿蜒盘旋，如同群龙舞动。开车来到山下，才发现路面很窄坡度很陡。行驶了一段路程，向车外望去，路的两边非常漂亮，满山的野果，花草，奇石，茂密的绿树尽收眼底，走了一段路程停下来看看美丽的风景，从这里就能看到五莲县的全景。
进入步行区，每走一段路就有一段台阶陪衬着，走起来还有点费劲，有点累。继续往前走，就会发现一些酸枣，有红色的.，还有浅绿色的；让人嘴里直冒酸水，摘一颗放到嘴里酸酸甜甜的。再往上走，会看到一座大庙，远远望去，烟雾缭绕，是求平安发财的人在烧香。
快到山顶的时候山路变的很细很窄更难走了。远远就看见三个大字望海峰，上面还有一座望海亭，望海亭有三层，但都上不去。站在山顶往下看，哇！整个五莲山都在眼底，郁郁葱葱连绵起伏的绿树，曲曲折折的山路，在阳光下看到的小河就像银色的小蛇在飞速的爬行。
最显眼的要属那尊多年来风吹不到，雨淋不坏的大佛，宏伟壮观，慈祥的面容让人感觉非常的亲切，继续往前走看到几座连在一起的亭子，都是木制的，游人坐在亭子里休息，吃点食物补充一下体力，当然我也不例外。
五莲山的景观太美了，不知不觉都下午三点了，我依依不舍的要和它告别了，今天的旅游让我收获太大了，它的景色，它的壮观，让我感慨万分，等有时间我还会再来观看它迷人的景色。
