关于桂圆还有一个传说呢！很久以前蛟龙总要兴风作浪，桂圆与蛟龙大战三天三夜，斩死蛟龙，挖出龙眼。县官来夺龙眼，桂圆寡不敌众，吞下一只龙眼，另一只“轰隆”炸裂。乡亲们将桂圆葬在村边。第二年，桂圆的坟上长出一种树，结出累累果实，果肉和果核就像龙的眼睛。为了纪念桂圆，人们将晒***龙眼果叫“桂圆”。
