When it is 12 years old, it studs over three meters and does not grow any more. Elephant is usually grey in color, having a long trunk with large ivory tusks protruding from each side of its mouth. Usually moving in groups and caring for each other, Elephant is know to be a very and gentle creamre. For many years people have used the strength of these poweful animals to move trees and heavy logs. Elephant has been and is a vital tool for people to do many things that would normally be imposs-ible.
Elephant is and will continue to be one of the greatest creatures man has ever come into contact with. Its size. beauty, and power willforever be useful to man.

Yesterday was Sunday and it was a fine day.My parents and I visited the zoo.We went by bus.We started out at 8:00 in the morning and got there at 8:30.There were many people in the zoo.Some were watching the animals,some were playing games and others were resting under the trees.We went to watch the birds first.Then we came to see the monkeys.They were very lovely.We also saw the tigers and the lions.We saw many animals in the zoo.We felt very happy.

火辣辣的太阳早早就从东方升起，大地被烧得炙热。今天，我们将开始上海游的第一站——上海野生动物园。
野生动物园，顾名思义：就是把动物都放养，然后人们得坐着观光大巴进行游览。当然，野生动物园也有动物圈养区。
好了，我大概介绍了一下野生动物园的特点，现在我们开始游览吧!首先我们来到了动物圈养区。在圈养区里有浣熊、熊猫、长颈鹿等许多animals friends，在它们其中我觉得熊猫最有趣，在熊猫馆里有8只大熊猫，在平时是看不到这么多的熊猫的，托世博会的福，一下子看到这么多的熊猫。我们去参观时，正好赶上它们午餐，青青的竹子是它们的最爱。它们的吃相千奇百怪：有的在地上坐着吃，有的爬到架子上躺着吃，有的扒在地上吃……我被眼前的画面吸引了，情不自禁地拿出相机给他们拍照。当我给他们照相时，有一只小熊猫非常好玩，它的”手“一直向我晃动，好象在说：我的样子可爱吗?一定要拍我喔!看到它这副可爱的样子，我给它连拍了好几张照片。
离开了熊猫馆，我和妈妈来到了海狮表演的地方。海狮出来了，驯养员一声令下，海狮便开始了”顶球180度旋转“表演只见海狮嘴上顶着一个小皮球，躺在地上旋转了180度，皮球依然顶在嘴上，象这种高难度动作我只见过杂技演员表演过，而海狮却可以完成，由此可见它平时苦练了多长时间。第二个表演”水中后空翻“驯养员刚说罢节目名，小海狮就游进了水里，瞧!小海狮从水中一跃而起，紧接着一个漂亮的后空翻，最后以优美的姿态落入水中。
终于要坐大巴车参观动物放养区了。我们坐上大巴进了一道铁门，首先进入了食草动物放养区，这里有：斑马、羚羊、骆驼、金毛羚牛……这些动物们在属于自己的领地上玩耍嬉戏，好不快活。紧接着我们的大巴车又过了两道高高的大铁门，来到了凶猛野兽放养区。在这里我们看到了猎豹，也许是天太热的缘故，它们不再赛跑，而是懒洋洋地睡觉;那些往日威风凛凛的老虎们，今天都变成了霜打的茄子，在树下乘凉。狮子和黑熊们则泡在水塘里消暑。
游园结束了，通过这次游园使我感受到了小动物们的可爱、聪明。也了解到狮子、老虎、熊那些凶猛动物尽管对人们有危害，但它们也是食物链中不可缺少的一个环节。让我们保护好动物们，和它们做好朋友，让我们地球上的生物和谐相处，让我们的世界更美好!
