我家有个独特的生活方式：每天早晨全家人必须在同一时段上厕所，为的就是节约用水。这可是我那“环保爸爸”定下的家规。
一天，我早早睁开眼睛。看看爸爸，哈哈，他还躺在床上做着梦，不时地打几个“震天雷”。我穿好衣服，直奔卫生间。上完厕所我一按按钮，哗哗的流水声就把爸爸给吵醒了。他一个鲤鱼翻身从床上跳起来，连衣服也没穿就跑了出来。刚才还呼呼大睡的爸爸，现任突然精神抖擞地出现在我面前，把我吓了一跳。他看着马桶里渐渐消失的水，心疼地说：“唉，又浪费了一桶水！要知道，在西北地区，上厕所都要去公共厕所，因为那里清水贵如油啊。所以，我们一定要节约水资源！”说完，爸爸还敲敲我的脑门，让我下不为例。
慢慢的，爸爸的家规也成了我的习惯，我也成了一个节约用水的人。每次妈妈给我梳辫子时总要沾一点水当摩丝，她为了方便总是不关水龙头。这时我就会立即关掉水龙头，不浪费一滴水。
一次，我们一家三口去逛超市。在收银台的，妈妈突然大卢尖叫：“糟糕，忘拿购物袋了。小姐，买一个塑料袋。”这呵急坏了爸’爸，他挤上前去说：“不要！既费钱，又不环保……”一阵唇枪舌战后，获胜的爸爸命令我们用双手代劳，把东西拿回家。就这样，我们扛的扛，拿的拿，就像三只正在辛苦搬运粮食的小蚂蚁。街上的人都用异样的眼光看我们，让我面红耳赤。我心里直嘀咕：“怎么会有这么小气吝啬的爸爸呢！就两毛钱也舍不得花，害得我如此狼狈。”(小学生作文 妈妈的一番话却解开了我心中的疑云：“爸爸节约用水、不塑料袋，都是为了节约能源，保护环境。这就是现在提倡的绿色生活、低碳生活。”
