大学理应教授学生如何锻炼思维方式，有效地学习专业知识，从知识、活动、实践中开阔眼界，并辅助学生确定符合自己并切身实际的理想，引导学生正确选择适合自己的优势职业。而我国的大学教育对于学生的职业规划还处于刚刚起步时期，大学生的职业规划意识还处于萌芽期。
世间不缺乏有理想的人，缺乏的只是能将理想实现的人!这句话正是对目前那些处于迷茫中的学生的正解。许多学生就像杜克海形容的，一直都是跟着大部队前行，从来没有想过要走到哪儿，只知道跟着走没错。但当走累了，想独自听下来休息一会儿的时候，却发现大部队走远了，而自己却徘徊在十字路口，不知道该往哪儿走。如果学校在这个时候能实际地辅助、引导他们消除迷茫与焦虑所在，而不是一味的让学生自己在迷茫焦虑的世界里自寻答案，这样就不会有那么多学生像杜克海那样反复不停地问自己出路在哪里，因为他们明白，出路就在自己的坚持、勇气与梦想里。
